Numark Omni Control master and headphone output routing problem

Hi,

The sound I get through my headphones and master is identical, so I can't cue anything up! I'm using Traktor LE and a Numark Omni Control. My output routing settings are:

Output Monitor:

3: out 3
4: out 4

Output master:

1: out 1
2: out 2

Any suggestions?

Also, when it's turned all the way to the left I get nothing through the headphones when both decks are playing.

 

yes in order to cue you then have to hit the cue button

 

Yeah, I've tried playing around with the cue buttons - no luck. The track in deck B is playing, but I can only hear it if I move the fader so I hear it through the master output.

 

ok so you have: xfader on the left
cue the new track
an dhave the mix not at 100%

you could provide a screenshot, maybe i can see what's your problem

I can, but it also comes out of the master output. Master and monitor outputs are identical.

 

are you shure the signal are identical ?
have you tried to put master on 3/4 and monitor on 1/2 ?

 

Yes, the signals are identical. Changing the monitor and master around doesn't make any difference...

 

hmm, weird.
Lets try it this way: please post a screenshot of your traktor main windows when you want to have deck a running on master and prelistening to deck b on the headphones while only hearing the cue signal

 

This is the screenshot.

I can only hear deck B when the PFL button is pressed, which I imagine is what's supposed to happen, but it comes through both the master speakers and headphones. Furthermore, if I press PFL on deck A, the audio comes through louder out of both the master speakers and headphones.

 

and that happens no matter which channels are set to be master and monitor?

did you connect the rca cables to output 1 or 2 on the omnicontrol?

 

It works!

I only discovered the PFL button recently - now I've switched the outputs over it works. Simple solution eh? Sorry to be so slow on the uptake. I've spent the last few weeks trying to get a digital jockey reloop 2 working with my laptop to no avail, so I was beginning to get a bit pessimistic about all of this.

I also have the same problem with my traktor pro and omni control on a macbook pro 1.2.6. What did you do to fix it? Why should the routing (output 1 / output2) affect the controller? Is this what fixed your problem? I have also played around with the outputs to no avail...
