I purchased a Numark total control without realising it didn't have its own sound card.. with not being able to afford the Numark soundcard I seen recommended on similar query threads I managed to get a lend off a soundcard off a mate, the Lexicon Alpha.

Upon first inspection it seemed perfect for the job.. it only had 1 output on the back but it had a monitor dial switching between master or monitors, so I installed the driver and plugged it in.

Immediately I was presented with a new setting in my output settings in Traktor Pro 2, "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" offering 4 different output channels, but no matter where I assign the 4 outputs it still just plays the master out through my onboard soundcard.

When I select "alpha asio" for my audio device I'm still only given 2 output channels. I really have no idea what to do, help please?

For Traktor use with one track played to the audience and one played in your headphone, you need an 2x stereo (4x mono) sound interface - e.g "Traktor audio 2" or something like this...

For just testing, you can use ASIO4ALL and use Lexicon Alpha and your onboard sound at the same time. BUT: this is not professional, this may cause other problems (crashes) and it needs a bit of setup.
