Numark V7

I have seen a lot of HID Devices have been given some support . When can i expect Support with my Numark V7s. As much at i love my S4, Machine and F1. i really really really really what my spinning platers.

Yes i know i can get some turntables and time code and run it into my s4..... i have it and have done it... its very cool. but its not what i want.

Yes i can run timecode through Itch into Trakor............... IT SUCKS :angry:.

i can map... i build a controller, programmed it and mapped it... but i cant get my Numarks to work......

i have called support... they just give me dumb (im in india) responses.

i want a real answers from a person that knows something. i know there is a 67+ page topic about it that was started 2 years ago....

Feel Free to discuss... but dont tell me its not going to happen... If NI is suppose to have the best DJ software, why cant they support this great hardware. hell VDJ... can run with them.

why running timecode through Itch into Trakor sucks? i plan to do that with my V7s when i get the audio 6. Mind sharing ur experience ?

 

You mean, when are NI going spend the time to reverse engineer the V7's implementation of HID for the benefit of the few users who bought this collaboration between Serato and Numark (supplied with Itch), but then decide to use Traktor Instead? My guess would be never - but you never know, eh?

 

I've been hoping for platter support for the ns7/ v7 for the the past year... I doubt it's going to happen unfortunately... I had to finally get rid of my ns7...

 

If have a good computer then u can do the timecode thing. Think of it as running two Traktors at the same time. Mine could easily. But switching back and forth between the windows, witch will make traktor make a chirping sound, gets a bit annoying cause u will find that u will need to go to itch to do some mainance. U can use the v7 cue points but I need to delete them after every song. So that leaves u with delayed v7 motorized platers and in my case and s4 between them...

As for reverse eng.... They don't need to they r already working on HID support witch is the closest thing so far. Numark as offer to basically say this is how to use these controllers.... A few bits of code and ur good...

NI = lazy.

They don't even need to map it. Just wake up and work with numark for a day or two.

since you have chosen to turn down that thread into that direction, i'll close it.
write to NI and send them your feature request. they might be interested. or not.
given the overwhelming amount of ppl in this thread, i'd assume more like: not.
