    How do

So - new Sony Vaio with Windows 7, 8gb of Ram, i7 inside.

I've installed the Audio 2 drivers, and when I plug it in, windows says it's ready to use. I turned off the feature that loads the drivers automatically, as it seemed to be doing the wrong ones. I uninstalled all drivers, and put the most recent windows ones on from the website.

Traktor Pro's audio icon stays red, even when I select Audio 2 ASIO.

    Any clues?
    ---
By the by, I open up the Audio 2 DJ Control Panel, and it says Interface Connected.

    Wrong drivers?

So i had potentially the same issue .
Windows 7 also . I installed uninstalled reinstalled I could not get a blue indicator on the audio, and if you mouse over the indicator in the UI it says "Audio Indicator
Must be blue for normal operations. Red color indicates problems..."

This is an incorrrect status and color. If your audio and decks play you are fine. I called NI Support Berlin after a day playing around with drivers after upgrading. The said it was a bug in the UI not having been updated. The audio is fine . Now my icon is orange not blue - do you have a red icon with an X ? Thats a different story - you'd be better off calling support mate as they'll resolve it.

No choice on Input/Output routing, so I guess Traktor really can't recognise the Audio 2 is connected. When installing the drivers, should the audio 2 be connected or not?

    Cheers

Red icon yeah, with an X. No choices in input output routing. Did you have your soundcard plugged when you installed the driver?

Ok - update. I got it to go blue by simply having the SC plugged when I launched, something I never used to have to do on XP. Problem now is that when I press play on each deck, it doesn't. Just sits there, unresponsive.

    To add - Output monitor L: 3 Out Ch B Left / R: 4 Out Ch B Right

    Output Master: L: 1 Out Ch A Left / R: 2 Out Ch B Right

Never have any equipment plugged in before drivers are installed as it will try to find a driver from windows when you plug it in.......

Now you need to totally uninstall the audio dj device from your device manager and uninstall traktor including deleting the Native Instruments folder in My Documents and start again...also turn off your wifi also as sometimes when istalling software the pc starts to look on the net for newer drivers which can also cock up your install.....
    good luck..!

Seems to have sorted but not sure how. I reverted back to my internal soundcard then back to the audio 2 and voila.

    Thanks to all that coommented
