    Hello,

I've just encountered a strange behaviour of the pitch control with the 1.2 public beta, I'll just describe my issue:
I've had two tracks running in relative mode. First deck set to master. After a few seconds, I activated a previous saved loop on the second deck and pressed the sync button. First deck still master, everything worked fine. After mixing the two tracks (using my external mixer), I stopped the turntable which controlled the first deck (remember, this one is running in relative mode). Suddenly the second decks pitch changed to -59% and I could nothing do about that (the pitch controls are not visible in my layout since I'm using my turntables to control this).

Is this a feature? Or a bug? Is somebody able to reproduce this or is this bug not related to Traktor but to my devices?

Just downloaded the 120RC2, I'm going to figure out if this version reacts equally.

    Edit:
In the new beta I wasn't able to reproduce this. Guess they've fixed it. Thanks for reading guys ;)

    Edit 2:
I was wrong, that "bug" is still there. Here is how to do it:

1.) Load two tracks in two decks.
2.) Set first deck to absolute/relative mode, second deck to internal play
3.) Set first deck to master, second deck to sync
4.) Start the turntable that controls the first deck, start the second deck with the big play-button
5.) Stop the turntable that controls the first deck.

The second decks pitch will go around -50%. Workaround seems to be to deactivate sync before stopping the first decks turntable.

I'd like to read any comments about this.

This is a bug for sure. And it was there in 1.1.2 as well (discovered this in April and reported it). My test case was a bit different than yours. I used 2 TTs (deck A and B) and deck C in internal mode. After lifting the needle on deck A I had the same tempo drop that you described.

This issue is not new. I just tried it again to be sure.

Traktor still has trouble determining which deck should be the Master (in Auto mode). In this case, when the turntable is stopped, the internal play deck should become the master right away, and not be the sync deck up until the turntable platter speed is out of Traktor's Pitch Fader Range (in mf2's case, -50 %).

In the case I recently posted http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92498 , in bug # 1, the exact opposite is true. Here Traktor overcompensates and assumes the Master deck is stopping while you're just changing the pitch.

I think it’s a sensitivity issue in the code and it can be easily fixed. Having said that, these problems are catastrophic when they occur and your whole audience will know it. I don't understand why these issues don't have priority over non-critical fixes and new features.

Don't forget to report it as a bug.

I totally agree with that. I've just reported this problem via the bug tracker.

I have the same issue once in a blue moon with my Denon HC-4500 and I have found that I can only reproduce it when both platters are touched at the same time.
