    Hey Guys,

I just got the idea of setting up deck C&D as my 'jingle' decks: I put all my jingles full of hotcues and stored loops, and then I map my korgpad as hotcue trigger buttons. Like a drumpad for jingles.

    Ok, but I noticed that:
    * When the 'active' button is lit, and playback passes a stored loop that wasn't triggered, it automatically loops
    * When the 'active' button is NOT lit, and you trigger a stored loop, it will just start there like a hotcue but do nothing with the loop.

Ok, suppose this is normal behaviour. But for this purpose I want a loop automatically be looped when I activate it, but don't want that same loop to be looping when a hotcue was triggered, and playback passes the loop. Is there any way I can achieve this behaviour?

take a look at the modifier-thingie of your midi-settings (in traktor). maybe you'll find a way to solve it. maybe you can combine your hotcue-buttons on the korg with a modifier who toggles the "loop active" on/off under condition "is in loop" yes/no.

Thought about such things, but what you would actually need is a modifier which tells you the kind of hotcue you're dealing with. So, depending on that modifier, you would set loop active to 1 or 0 at the press of your button... Unfortunatly, that modifier doesn't exist :/

hm, your're right. hotcues can't be distinguished by their type. well, seems that there's no automated way to achieve your goal then.

i'm kinda having similar problems and its doing my head in!

when I'm I', using my timecode CD's on my CDJ 400 the cue button wont work so I have to using the keyboard, defeats the obkect of actually using the decks.

I set my cues yet when I hit the cue button on the CDJ it goes right behind the start of the track

help please, I'm spent all weekend on it and its still the same

You can have up to 32 cue point per track. If Traktor always renumbered your hotcues in order from the start of the tracks you would only ever be able to have the 1st 8 cues as hotcues. Traktor gives you the ability to map any of your cues to whichever hotcue you want it to be, so you could just remap the hotcues to be in the order you want. Yo are not stuck with it. It is even possible to have 8 hotcues without the beat marker being one of them. Read the manual and have a play with the map button in the cues section.

You can have a lot more than 32 (also I think no one will need them). Try it. I stopped after no. 150 was set.

OK. I thought I read somewhere it was 32. Happy to be corrected. So more than 150 then.

On the other hand. I'd be hard pressed to find 32 points, never mind 150+ Not sure what I would do with them either. I could realistically imagine 8 hotcues, 5 or so beatmarkers, load marker, fade-in and fade-out. That's a total of 16. Mayby if I placed a beatmarker at the start of every bar on a very unsteady track...

Totally agree that one really don't need so much cue points. The only reason I know is that I tested it some while ago. And you are right: the published limit is indeed 32.

Beatjump control? Single editing of Sampleslots?

    Hi there!

Sorry I have some new questions:

    - Is there a direct Beatjumpcontrolknob or button (within the standart NHL mapping)?

    - If not: Has someone a usermapped possibility that runs parallel with the standart mapping NHL or is this possible to mapp. I mean is it possible in general ot run usermapping at the same time with the standart mapping NHL?

    - Is there a way to control (volume/filter) each single sample slot (I've seen so far only all for together).

    Thanks for infos!

    Good Day Mates,

I decided not to wait anymore for the sampler update from NI and went on the advises from the forum users as far as putting all my sounds in one track and use them on a deck. Right now I am using a&b as my mixing decks, c for loops and I will be using d to fire sounds.

    1) I already completed the first step, all the sounds, drops and jiggles i want to use are in one long track.

    2) I already marked the ins and outs for all the sounds on the tracks and save them as Loops in traktor.

    3) I have them mapped as Hot cues on my NanoPad.

    Here are my problems:
    a) I am not able to trigger these saved loops as I would with cues with my nanopad. When I want to fire a sound I have to "hold" the button and release it at the end of the loop. I want to be able to "trigger" it.

    b) When I trigger I want it to stop at the "out" point of the loop. Not keep on looping if the loop is active or just go on playing the other sounds.

    Other Questions:
I know that the answer will be no, but I think I should at least ask. With that way of putting all the sounds together, can we fire several sound at the same time?

1.) You'd have to use the beatslicer to do that, or have the song playing and opening the line fader for that respected channel whilst pressing the cue"?" button and closing the linefader after the sample/loop is done playing!

2.) Sry, but as you already expected the answer is NO!:(

I will mess around the beatslicer later on.

I can't seem to change the parameters from "Hold" to "trigger".

Maybe I need to use a different function instead of select/save hot cues.

Using the line fader trick would be almost the same as holding the "cue button" for the drop to play and release it at the end.

    Thanks for the quick response.

ps. I dont wanna be a conspiracy theorist here, but I am starting to believe that NI is keeping that sampler option hostage to push customers into maschine.
