    Hi there,

I have posted this in the "old Forums" already, and some people made use of this, so I will repeat my offer here, too, as there seems to be a constant demand of Faderfox products outside Europe.

www.faderfox.de does not deliver its products outside Europe at the moment. For those who don't have personal connections to Europeans who would be able to forward packages to their friends outside Europe, I have decided to help out. This completely works on a "basis of "good rust" basis, as I cannot think of any means of proving my good intentions other than "satisfied user" comments which might follow in this thread.

But let me assure you: I don't take your money and run away, ;=) I simply forward packages to your home adress. Here is how it works (an excerpt taken from the E-Mails I sent recently to requesting people):

    ------------------

Unfortunately, the cost has risen noticeably for US
customers due to the EURO- strenght.

179,- EUR original Faderfox price (verify: www.faderfox.de)
8,00 EUR Shipping over here to Berlin (verify: www.faderfox.de)
24,60 EUR shipping to the US (airmail uninsured* - check
http://www.deutschepost.de to verify if you like)
211,60 EUR Total --> approx 275,- US (according to finance.yahoo.com)

    * If you want the item to be sent via airmail _including_
insurance (and also with a tracking number in case of loss) this
will cost another 23,40 EUR, that is approx 31,- US. The total to send it by insured airmail including the faderfox price is 235 EUR, approx 305,- US.

The same shipping fee applies for a package up to 5 kg. In other words: I could send something like 8 units for those 48 EUR. 3 Units sent insured would cost something like 600,- EUR, that is around 780 US (check finance.yahoo.com for todays rates).

I have not included any handling fee in this calculation. Most
people send something like an extra 15-20 EUR when ordering one unit, but that is up to you.

Still into it? If in doubt, consider this: It is a very good
controller, I have recently bought it myself, and I really *do*
like it. It has made my set more dense, accurate concentrated and exciting. It has definately changed my style of spinning and is big fun to work with... :=)

BUT: You do take a risk. I will simply forward the item, not
unpack it or even test it. If any trouble arises with the unit,
let's say the thing breaks on the way to your country, you would have to ship it back to Faderfox. But none of that has happened yet.

You would have to transfer the money to my paypal account. After that I would place the order the same day the money arrives. The item would be shipped to my appartment in Berlin. I would put a new label on the packet and forward it to you straight away. The whole process takes 2-3 weeks. In all stages of the process, I let you know how things are, including a "DHL worldwide" tracking number for the packet which you can use for and online-check where your faderfox is at the moment.

Well, there is quite a lot of cons and pros involved, I guess.
Let this sink into your mind and get back to me if you like. I am
only doing this because I think people should be able to use this item everywhere in the world, no matter if in europe or the US or elsewhere.

    -----------------

Just in case you're not convinced about the Faderfox controller. ....it rocks!!

There's several other interesting controllers on the horizon, but the faderfox crams in everything you need in to a very compact little unit, & still manages to be very useable. .....even though it's tiny, it doesn't feel cramped at all.

If you want a controller, but still want to travel as light as possible, then this is still the obvious choice.

I can vouch for this offer. I received my Faderfox is good shape and a timely manner. The cost is probably just going to get higher, so save some bucks and get one now. Thanks- Dr G.

Tried an X-session but like Faderfox much better

I've had the Faderfox since it came out. At present I think it's the best Traktor controller on the market. No complaints at all!

    WHAT? are u kiddin?! *appalled*

what you need will be the new ecler nuo 4 mixer i've seen on the music fairy in frankfurt... works like a usual dj-mixer (ability to play with vinyl/ cd dj's as usual) plus has midi-buttons on it so you dont need to go away from your setup to activate loops etc.

i'm broke too, but that will be my weapon of choice!!

You can add my vote for the faderfox--it's allowed for a lot more spur-of-the-moment, on-the-fly, wotthehell risk-taking in my mixes. At the moment the only thing I'd want changed about it is that it completely reproduce A & B deck controls, instead of having to toggle some of them--especially EQ kills. But it's a well-made, reliable, compact, and terrifically designed piece of kit.

I've seen pictures of the Nuo 4. Looks pretty good, but I don't know if 4 knobs and layouts for them would be enough for me.

Does anyone know where I could buy knobs similar to the one Ecler uses? I'm going to be building my own midi controller (at least trying to) in a few months, and I'd love to get my hands on some of those knobs.

brianc - check out doepfer if youre interested in building your own midi controller - they also have some stuff thats tailored to stuff like traktor, ableton live and other software....

    http://www.doepfer.de/home_e.htm

would love to get a faderfox if i couldnt do everything i need to do already on my (poorly designed and ugly but functional) x-session heheh :)

Well my Vestax 07 is just sitting in a case... I use a Rane TTM56.... so no need to hold onto it.

Yeah, I looked at Doepfer first-- very nice stuff. I've decided on http://www.midibox.org instead, because it's a lot cheaper, and it'll be a nice learning project for me...

    Hey All:

I'm located in Chicago, Illinois USA and I wanted to share my pleasant experience with Dr G and Faderfox. I ordered my unit using paypal service, received confirmation that my order was placed, regular updates on the status of my order was provided, and soon enough the unit arrived on my door step. Faderfox is a nice little instrument. Easy to use and set up. I was up and going in a matter of minutes.

Have fun folks! In case you have any questions or comments, you can reach me on gottahavehouse@hotmail.com. I operate the web site www.gottahavehouse.com

I can vouch for this gentleman as well. I asked if he could help me acquire a unit about a year (?) ago.

I was very happy with his responsiveness and the unit. I live in the Eastern U.S. and the transaction was handled smoothly using PayPal. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. G or the unit!
