Hey everyone, I noticed no one had made an actual thread for people to share their SoundCloud sites with each other and actually get real responses from one another.

So what I propose is this: Let's start a thread that deals with people ACTUALLY listening to one another's songs. Let's also put some rules in place that allows for everyone to get real listens from one another. We all work hard on our songs, so it's nice to share it with one another.

This is how it will work. In order to post your SoundCloud on here, you must first respond to another person's site and comment about one of their songs. Once that happens, that person must then listen to one of your songs and give you a response as well.

I feel this will create a lot more interest in each other's music and will in turn make us better musicians as well.

So I will start the process with:

    soundcloud.com/faaip07

Whomever listens and responds, I will go to your soundcloud as well and check it out and leave a response for you.

I hope this turns out to be a positive place for us to share our art!

You've gotta comment on a song you've listened to first for this to work/get a response
    ---
And song comments/criticism should go on this page, not the persons soundcloud

    Why not use the soundcloud?
I find it complicated to have comments here and the sounds over there. Since this thread will be filled up with responses to many pieces of music, it will be hard to keep a reference between the posts. Maybe you set up a Group on soundcloud for this, for which you can apply in this thread. If it is possible to have closed groups (which I don´t know since I am new to soundcloud)

I wanted to keep it between the Maschine forum I guess. I was just hoping this would open up a lot of chances for people to hear each others music and talk about it. And I didnt think it would be a good idea to leave comments on soundcloud because no one wants their soundcloud full of constructive critism. But here it's more than welcome.

I just thought this would be fun and a cool way to get more listens to all of our songs. Win Win in my book. But no one is really biting, so maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

    Ok,
commented on one of your tracks yesterday on soundcloud, thougt it was the right way.
Speaking only for myself I have no problem to see any critical comments on my soundcloud account if it stays constructive. Better than the usual "dope beat!" or equal short comments you find anywhere (which are quite valuable when there are plenty, but not really constructive)
The idea of a Win Win situation is absolutely good.

So what about the idea of renaming a song you would have "examinded" by adding "NIMforum" to the name?
and only that track(s) will get comments from our community?
That way you would be able to delete that song if you feel too much criticism has taken place and re-post it under its real name.
Maybe you can dive deeper into that group thing, since i´m not a native speaker, it is very time consumpting to me to figure everything out in soundcloud help.

    just my two cents...

p.s. should the tracks be limited to be made with maschine only (standalone with additional vst)?

That was you? Thanks. Really you're right. It's better than "dope beat" lol. Thanks for the comment btw. I checked out your songs as well and though they were cool. I tried to return the favor as well witha comment.

I dont think those are bad ideas at all. Id like to get a little more feedback from more people before we dive into that I think. And I think tracks should be limited to Maschine standalone plus whatever VST you throw in there. Sampling is welcome and all that jazz.

This is a great idea. I can't believe this thread is not more popular. I love SoundCloud as a means to show off your work, good and bad. Finding others on there that are interested in the same thing, and within this forum would only help me with my Music and get to hear what other NI users are doing with their hardware.

Dont forget guys, you need to comment about each others work in your post about your own work. thats the only way to get actual feedback here. so if you guys could repost with comments about each others, or even my, work. I will gladly listen to yours as well.

the key here though is, you must comment about someone else work, on this forum, in order to get listens. Thats just the most fair way. Once I see some comments, I'll check out the stuff and like what I like.

    Keep up the good work!

People are failing at this haha. No one has commented about anyone else's songs. Come on now, that's the point of this. Not to get your music out there but to enjoy the music of others. Please don't post on here unless you have something to say about someone else's song.

Ok, so i like to comment on faiip´s song "first day".
like i already said on sc, i like it but would like it more with the drums sounding a bit more dirty and more grooving.
also i have the feeling on his songs in general that they could need a bit glue in the mix.
since i´m not a native speaker in english i sometimes have a problem to describe exaxtly what i mean. so forgive me when i sound weird sometimes. definitely no pun intended!
