Anyway back on topic. I'm really excited about the new version of traktor scratch, I have TS and a Korg Zero 4 that I got the other day and this will just top it all off! Am I correct in my understanding that if I pay the upgrade fee for my TS I will effectively have all the features of Traktor Pro and Scratch pro?

    Things I find un-Pro:
    - loss of Native Mix Recorder
    - still no support for plug-ins
    - still no support of feedback from controllers
I will get the upgrade anyway, but not with overmuch enthusiasm.

Hm, i think that this is too much risky for doing live gigs atm, maybe in future when the technology brings more stability/reliability ..

For now, I think its more than enough effects packed into, and if u ar still after some specific vst, u can always slave the ableton on another comp beside..

Will T-Pro read and write aiff-tags like itunes does ?

And is it possible to import the cover-arts through itunes or via reading embedded cover-tag?

(My complete collection are aiff-files, tagged and with embedded cover-arts)

    Thanks for info

I just want to thank NI Team for the big efford that they put in their software creations, and to remind all of you discussing every single issue and every aspect of concurent products, that you are actually in the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS forum, and actually talkin' about their new product. So leave all the worries behind, and just wait for 1st of november. I will. And I can't wait too.
P.S. By the way, I'm working professionally with TRAKTOR SCRATCH from the beginning of this summer, and before that I had Final Scratch 1 - linux version, than 1,5 and than the second version. I'm a die-hard fen of DVS systems, and I'm REALLY using them proffesionally - and that means almost every night. I've got to tell you one thing - you can't find more stable solution than TRAKTOR SCRATCH out there, even working on an old laptop like mine. I've tried them all. I never expirienced all this funny "problems" that you are usualy complaining about. I just cleared my comp, killed some processes, did this and that and everything work awesome. So, please, be so kind and don't post every single stupid question that pops on your mind - IT IS A GREAT SOFT, AND I'M SURE THAT THE PRO WILL BE EVEN BETTER! (what a p.s. boy!) ;)

A question about the Traktor Pro demo version.

Will it have all the functionalities of the full software as I plan to try to Demo version first before deciding whether i should upgrade. I have problems with using Traktor 3 on my Vista machine & had to switch back to XP. I want to try the Pro demo version on a Vista machine befrore buying it.

1 Question: What about the Traktor Scratch Pro Update? Ive been redirected to the Store but theres only the Traktor 1/2/3 Update available. (There is a big notice "for Traktor 1,2,3 users")
Is it coming in the future?

Yup. Full information on the FREE upgrade is pending. If you check (and you probably already have) the BUY section on the PRO microsite the details are there. As you say they arent on the SHOP as the FREE upgrade isnt a pre-order item yet :(

Im really hoping that the free upgrade details will come out very soon as i anticipate that people buying TS PRO full package will get it first and im very geekily looking forward to it.

Luckily i only bought my TS 2weeks ago so i also qualify for the Grace Period upgrade to T PRO :):):)

Well , I am interested in the Single Upgrade of Scratch , there is a full scratch version(599) but just 1 Upgrade Version for Traktor Pro (where there is a bol information its for traktor 1/2/3) but there is no explicit scratch upgrade version.

is it now both the same **** = 1 Program?:|

Your post is rather confusing dude. It would help to fill out your signature with what you are using but. If you have Traktor Scratch already ? You will just need the UPDATE which is 79euros. It is a Trakor Pro update that will have timecode enabled cus you already have Scratch installed.

And yes the 2 progams have the same 'functionality' (eg. decks/effects)

    Hope that helps :)

btw the NI shop is woefully inadequate , its missing lots of info regarding UPDATES and UPGRADES but i think that its cus they only show what is available to pre-order now.

I've read all 15 pages of this thread and I haven't seen this question answered yet (definitly not answered by a moderator). So I think it justifies that I try to dig deeper.

It also said before you posted your last VST question/post that the mod's answers are now few and far in between...

I still want to know more details about beatgrids now and then...

They're making me wait till Nov. 1st...

Good Evening, Gentlemen, Ive been reading the post and listening to everyones point of views and questions, all are great and informative, Im a great Traktor fan few bugs and all, Im glad they keep striving to be the best, I dont bitch or complain i just play, it is what it is, Im glad they are giving us duall users a upgrade as i have both, my only deal is i dont use my Technics or Cdjs 800 Mk2 all the time, i have a Denon DnHc 4500 that hasnt been Mapped totally for Traktor and thats my Deal, I think they could have been a little more considerate as its a nice piece when needed, Ive been running Reflex lately when i run my controller and it kicks butt, i would love to use traktor with it not halfly mapped, so i cant wait either and will c how it goes.

Please make the platters on the HS5500 spin in Traktor Pro.....that would be sweet.....

Oh....and also make the VCI-300 compatible so that my gear can be lighter for certain mobile gigs when necessary....

Already read about the Ableton compatibility expansion...so I am happy with that one!

Anyone know if Xone 2D will be included in the Traktor-provided MIDI maps?

    A quick question about artwork.

I use iTunes to manage my collection, but I embed my artwork in to my track data (rather than having it as part of the iTunes collection). This means that when I transfer tracks between my home and mobile setup I take all the artwork with me (and any other info, as I write the Traktor tags too).

Question is, with TS Pro read the embedded artwork?

Please say yes, as the thought of 8.5k tracks needing artwork added gives me the willies (so to speak).

    Cheers,

    DJD
