Just installed it and everything looks great. One problems though... is there any way of determining a list of BPM's say for any given folder of music without loading them one by one into a deck. Normally with Traktor Scratch or Traktor 3 I'd select all the tracks in the folder and click the Analyse Selection button to the left of the tracklisting. It comes in handy for finding what tracks are in a similar BPM range and if you're playing out in a club and have a load of new music, I wouldn't fancy having to go through each one individually. Any way around this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys...

So does that mean that my friends numark icdx's will work (they use HID like the cdj400) for controllers and not need timecoded cds? i want him to come to the dark side and this is the selling point

Deck wind got pulled late in the process. We discovered a nasty problem that caused errors and audio breakdown and instability. Since we have alternate transport controls that work the easiest way to address the problem for now was to remove the controls. Use Seek or Cd DJ Jog instead.

I Have just had a look and there is a map already made for the BCD3000. Not like my Xponent hopefully someone is making one that works with Traktor Pro :)

Hope this has not been asked.
I use only 1 deck most of the time and have on T3 assigned it to the deck I wanted to control. This would be great at a party where I would have to take just one deck. I have looked exhaustively for this feature and it seems that I can only control one deck from a single source.
    Any ideas?

Question about the phase meter and scratch control

When using scratch control, is it no longer possible for both phase meters to fluctuate their status relative to each other at the same time?

It seems that if you want to use the phase meter you have to assign a deck to master. And the phase meter for the deck you assign to master doesn't move. Therefore only the phase meter on the deck your mixing in will move.

So regards your last point. When you think about the master phase meter won't move. When a deck is master its the clock signal of record. Phase meter adjustsments indicate how far offset a deck is from the clock source of record. A deck in master mode could not possibly be offset from itself. The problem is that currently it is not possible to have master clock as the master clock source of record and then have the decks slave to it... as you do in T3. I see this a HUGE Ginormous technical problem and one that will cause and large number people to curse swear and abuse! Their complaints are not without merit in my personal opinion. To make effective use of Traktor and master clock in manual mode you MUST be able to set Master clock as the clock source of record and have the decks slave to master clock. Furthermore you MUST be able to run a deck with phase sync offset to master clock but still tempo synced. Full clock sync assumes tempo sync + phase sync. That is my take on it, whats yours?

    beat grids etc

    Hey Phil,

TP user, seems my beatgrids are a little off. I had zero problems backing up and importing my collection. Is this something you're hearing? none of my mixes sound as airtight as it did with t3. had some crackling and popping too.

i can only imagine what it's like to roll out a new software ;)

My take on this is similar. I believe that the new master clock function in Traktor Pro is very practical for syncing and mixing internally or without time-code control. And for the most part I consider this to be a step in the right direction for making things more straightforward and functional.

However, as practical as it may be, some people may not like the fact that you're forced to assign a deck to master even when you're mixing with time-code vinyl/cds if you want to use the phase meter.

One possible work around, as you mentioned above, would be to redesign the the manual master clock feature so that it can be sourced to a specific deck's current tempo but also allow that deck to be slaved to it at the same time.

This is not a huge issue for me, but I do prefer the way it was in T3 in regards to the phase meter & controlling with time-code.

Hello everyone I have a question can I use Traktor Pro in Vinyl mode, like I used to do it with Traktor 3.3 (to connect the turntables to Traktor 3.3) or I need Traktor Scratch Pro?
    Thank You
