    TS and LE--->upgrade?

Hello, it looks like the free update to Pro is not for owners of both Traktor Scratch and Traktor LE, but only for owners of the FULL versions of both. Oh well.

But this is really where I am looking for some help/confirmation: I am looking at the upgrade pricing and it is 119.00 USD for the upgrade from Traktor LE, and 99.00 USD for the Traktor Scratch upgrade.

But, is the final product of both of these upgrades the same thing?

Depending on what setup is available, I currently alternate between turntables with Traktor Scratch, and the VCI-100 with Traktor LE. So if I upgrade either product, I want to be able to use Pro with either setup. Thanks.

    Looping

    Hi!

I don´t know if this ist the right thread. I used the search function but didn´t find anything!

I want to know, in T3 when I hit the loop button between two beats, the start cue automatically moved to the next beat. With TSP ist stays in between! Can I change this?

    Thx

    forum wont let me edit

Sorry if I double post, the forum is acting weird, and won't keep me logged in between clicks.

I took the time to read between the flames... It looks like I need to get the Scratch Pro upgrade for all the features of Traktor Pro plus using time-code vinyl.

There are so many pages to this thread, and way too many posts that are simply ripping people apart for "stupid questions". All that does is make the answers harder to find for the rest of us.

Am i right in thinking that my free download of TSP is all i need as its essentiallt TP with added Timecode support and they are essentially the same apart from that? Or should I be getting a TP download ticket as well as i currently own both T3 and TS

if you own both and have both registered, your serial number will provide you TPro. that's what i received, being in the same situation as you.

basically, as far as i understood... the difference between Tpro and TSPro is 'only' the amount of decks available to play, being 4 in TPro and 2 in TSPro. however after 30 pages of thread, still not sure about that.

when you install it and the prompt is shown, just specify "TRAKTOR PRO" instead of "TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO".

    cheers

Did you get an answer on this one? I use Traktor 3 and I want to use Traktor Pro, not scratch. I got the free upgrade, but that upgrades me to Pro Scratch. If Pro Scratch has the same features as Pro, I see no need to buy the Pro upgrade.

Try changing the Snap and Quantize check-boxes in the Master panel at the top.

not sure if you're talking to me, but as i stated, i don't understand at all the difference, in terms of software (in case there is any) between TPro and TSPro.

Before my installation i thought (according to what i read this thread...) that the difference lied in TPro being just the program and TSPro being the bundle between hw (audio8) and sw (TPro)

but when it came to the moment during the instalation when i was asked if i wanted to validate TPro or TSPro, i got totally confused.

in the end, i tried the provided serial to validate TPro and it worked so that's it....

Dude the program you have is Traktor PRO. You dont need to buy Traktor PRO.

I understand exactly what your saying. I have TS Pro but at half my gigs i will only use a controller no decks, no need for Scratch function. In this way TSPRO acts as Tracktor PRO (essentially the same as Traktor 3).

You can use TSPRO just like you did when you used Traktor3.

At the first install box i chose Traktor Pro mode. That still gives me the Scratch option , it just shows Cue Cup buttons rather than Scratch Modes.

Hope that clears it up for ya.

My Traktor Pro is deleting cover artworks :(
i add covers in iTunes, but then if it play the track in Traktor - cover is not visible in iTunes anymore

    what may be the reason?

image files written onto the idp of a track in i-tunes will not show up in traktor. this is something that the nice folks at apple have prevented. there are plenty of other ways to write artwork onto your tracks that work with traktor. there is a thread for that

is there any way of determining a list of BPM's say for any given folder of music without loading them one by one into a deck. Normally with TS or TS3 I'd select all the tracks in the folder and click the Analyse Selection button to the left of the tracklisting. It comes in handy for finding what tracks are in a similar BPM range and if you're playing out in a club and have a load of new music, I wouldn't fancy having to go through each one individually. Any way around this? Can't find this Analyse button anywhere

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys...

I just downloaded and installed Traktor Scratch Pro last night.

There is a MIDI map folder filled with settings for 18 different MIDI controllers, including the BCD 3000.

I use the VCI-100 and the included .tsi MIDI map file leaves a little bit to be desired. I will be playing around with finding other files (thanks Silek) and making my own.
It seems like it will work ok, though, and that the Scratch Pro program has timecode vinyl (external) capability, PLUS internal or MIDI mixing capability. This is exactly what I hoped for.

On startup, Pro told me that my USB cable was not good enough and the program sorta died. --> Need to get a wider USB cable.

    Anyone else had this issue?
