Totally agree with you there, i have designed a few ideas and only two of them are suitable that would work well. But theres noway you could do a full 'midi control' and internally controlled mapping with it and mix comfortably without pressing a few buttons twice. That would simply annoy me.

If you had routed the audio from the Audio 8 DJ into the channels on the mixer and were using the mixer to process the audio, it would make it even harder to use. I just think the midi feature has been rushed into it. The midi sync is the best bit

    Hello everyone,

I have a really simple question and I've looked everywhere for an answer. I purchased Traktor Scratch Pro today and installed it on my MacBook Pro, which is hooked to my Korg Zero 8 mixer and Denon DN-S5000 CDJs. When I play the Time Coded CDs, I get a really high pitched tone when I place the channel setting to CD IN. Is this normal?

    I've read the manual.

Plus, anyone with a Korg Zero 4/8 have any tips or suggestions on setup?

    Many thanks in advance

To use TSPro you have to be switched to Audio or Audio/Midi on your Zero4/8. Just make sure you have your ins/outs setup correctly in TSPro.

Your hearing that high pitched tone because your playing the Scratch CDs while in Line In on your Zero.

    hi,
i updated traktor to 1.0.2 today...
when i start a track in scratch mode i can't sync the track
through the sync button anymore(the sync button isn't acivated
    constantly...).
in the internal playback the sync button keeps activated...
does anyone knows how to fix that problem? thanks

I have not had a problem with this change. Once you hit the sync button, the tracks become synced. The sync button doesn't need to remain active. Unless you change something like the tempo again, they should remain synced.

    One last question -

I have my Korg Zero 8 setup so that the CDJs are attached to Deck A (input routing Channel 0,1 on mixer channel 1) and Deck B (input routing Channel 2,3 on mixer channel 2). I can get everything to work and control my time coded CD if those channels are setup to CD IN and within the software, I set the output channels for Decks A and B anything else other than 0,1 and 2,3.

So what I am asking is if this is a normal configuration, where I dedicate 2 mixer channels out of my 8 to CD IN configuration, then the rest to working with Traktor Scratch Pro.

    Yes, I've RTFM lol. :D

Much thanks in advance for answering this n00b question. :)

    You are correct zenmonk. ;)

CDJs to Mixer Channels 1 and 2 and then TSPro is activated when Channel 1 (Input 0-1) and Channel 2 (2,3) is clicked to Audio and/or Audio/Midi.

You can also have it that TSPro is Channel 3 (Inputs 4,5) and 4 (Inputs 6,7) for Decks A and B. OR You can go one step further by configuring Outputs (4,5) and (6,7) to Channel 3 and 4 on the Z8 for Decks C and D.

    Hi Guys,

How to change the CUE and CUP buttoms in the transport section of the deck for the scratch modes? Some how I end up with Decks C and B with scratch modes and A and D with CUE and CUP buttoms. Also can you switch decks to be controled with one turntable during performance?

    YES YOU CAN...
There is a menu option you get to when you click the down arrow below the deck letter. Depending on the mode you get different deck controls...

Timecode Input now fully disabled in Internal Playback mode

Is this bug fix going to address the issues of decks freezing? the package is pretty much useless until that gets sorted

Hello. Today I installed SB Audigy SE card, all system sound works good, but Traktor Pro wont start the deck playing.
Top audio icon in the main panel in Traktor is blue, so I guess it should work.
I got XP SP2, Core2Duo and 4gb of RAM. Could someone help me?

PS. Old realtek sound card is disabled in Windows.

    behaviour eq gain

    Hello,
Can anyone tell me how the Knobs/sliders behave in TP?
What I mean is if they act all in a linear way, or maybe (some) have a virtual
    logarithmic curve?

Hi I recently bought Scratch Pro and i'm now building my track collection. When I load a track from the explorer-tree (within Traktor) and listen if I want that track in my collection it already automatically adds the track to the track collection. Earlier this wasn't the case and i could just click add to my collection before it would be in my track collection.

Did I change something? How do you effectively add tracks to the track collection without cluttering it all with tracks you don't want... (I already tried it with all the boxes in the file management tab clicked off )
