I can use Reaktor 4 as a VST plug-in on Cubase SX but If I close the project and try and re-open it Cubase SX crashes.Unfortunately I set SX to re-open the last project automatically and basically I'm ****ed.Can't open SX to do anything-crashes everytime.

try opening cubase by clicking on another project and then going to the one with reaktor. close reaktor or turn it off before closing cubase. if that doesn't work try removing the reaktor dll from your vst folder and then open cubase. it's just a botch up method but you should be able at least to open cubase. i have had this problem with spektral delay and i found that as long as SD was not active when i closed a project i had no probs opening cubase.

    good luck

I have the same problem. For me, turning reaktor off before closing helps. But it sucks, because if you forget that once, your project is lost.
Also there is an extremely loud noise when I open reaktor in SX, until I load an instrument.

Dude, I'm still waiting for my copy...should be any day, now. In the meanwhile, I am watching the board. My concern, at this junction, is the crashes and reported un-usability of Reaktor 4. This is bumming me out as I really don't want to load up R4 and just to validate that another release is deserved- whenever!

A tool like Reaktor deserves to be stable. If Reaktor is unstable, users won't be able to spend the time deserved to exploit it's capacity (i.e. frustrate the user). The bug fixes stopped coming; a lot of versions got rolled up into a "new features" version (R4); we're system testing. In my mind, the next release (i.e. bug fixes) will tell the story.
