    Example

1.Dedecate a laptop, Mac or Pc for (Djing use only)

Now customize it for Dj use

    2. Go into your administer area and Turn off services that you don’t need,

Like any Internet or virus software, Theme software, and other program’s that would compromise your hardware function, make a folder with your Music. Keep your music folder or folders on your desktop for use with traktor, Please and Please, Turn off I tunes Internet accesses

Remember to have a back up boot disk in case you fu up. Have a spare Laptop to copy and manually return back to the way you started if something goes wrong.

    3. Do not turn your PC or Mac off to run the test until you are finish and satisfied.

    4. Open traktor and take it for a spin

5 I will bet you won’t have any issues at all when you setup your dj gear in this mater

If you are serious about Djing take my advice it works for me

Note If anyone has a positive feed back on other things that could be done please post it. Thanks

I have a button on my keyboard which puts the laptop into "green" mode battery saving, low power etc etc.

now if only I could press that button and turn it into "Traktor Mode" and just switch it off when in normal use.

any ideas if thats even possible? its an Acer Aspire 5738

although this is what i plan on doing and i agree, not all of us have the money for a 2nd laptop (at least not yet). also not all DJ's are serious (or smart). i did have something to add. i would recommend the "traktor bible". i purchased it and learned a lot. most problems can be solved by reading it.
