    Hi guys

First of all, this is my first thread in here, I would like to start to apologize for maybe putting this in the wrong section of the forum, and also for my bad English - it's not my native language, but I'll do my best to help you understand my issue/question.

I'm currently without an amp for practice in my small apartment, I will have a period of time without an amp because of several reasons which I will not specify in this thread.

So basically I found this old Guitar Rig session I/O interface in my stock of old guitar equipment - I used it many years ago for recording small portions of tracks - I haven't used it for like 10 years I think.

My question is: is it possible to get it up and running on my Macbook Air M1 - (purchased last week) OS Big Sur 11.2.3.
I read somewhere that the hardware was not supported on newer MacOS anymore - is that true?
Also, as I remember, I had software for simulating amps - which software would be the correct to use here? Komplete START with Guitar Rig 6 Player - is that free?

Again... I'm sorry - I know this is totally noob questions, I'm normally not a software/computer kind of guitar player - it's been 10 years since I experimented with this the last time, and since it's only a temporary setup, I'm not willing to invest several 100 USD into new Audio Interfaces and software if I can avoid it.

I hope someone can help me.

    Simon
