omni board not working?

hi help im at the end of my tether. had numark omni board n traktor pro 6 months or so 2nd hand. dont use that often. using last nite soung up the wall side a playing outta speakers side b headphones. dont know why had not touched settings. during investigating the omni board stopped working needless to say after touching settings today still not working. tried everything. can anyone give me the basics to see if i have changed something that i have missed. really frustrated. thanks

hi thanks for you time. just started up as normal playing track on a went to prepare next track noticed it came out of same speakers same time so i went in to check/change audio external and internel settings. not sure wat they should be so i tried many combinations to see wat fixed problem. now i have it set so a comes out speakers b headphones only and cant seem to find wat makes it work properly. have i in the meantime set it so omni dont come on? new to this im afraid. however i got there 6months ago in the end and had no problems. not used for about 3 weeks now this has happened. its set on the second option dowm asio thing. please help its guilty pleasure.

the internal outout mode is for when you are mixing the audio internally so you mix it with a midi controller and the mixed music comes out into the pa while you cue using the headphone out of your soundcard
The external mode is for when you are using an external mixer, what happens then is that each channel goes through a seperate channel of the audio interface only gain, key, pitch and effects are applied no faders or crossfading options since that's done externally

(little book reccomandation here: the manual )

i assume you mean you have the omnicontrol and fromw hat you said about your tech level you propably haven't done any mapping or other complicated changes so i'd reccomend simply running the setup wizard since you can chose to have traktor set itself up for the omnicontrol

 

thank u . thru the omni board it is letting me listen to the headphones and speakers are getting sound. so its def working but i cannot use any of the features at all and its not lighting up as usual. do u think there is a setting i have touched to cause this. what do u suggest to make the light come back on?

 

well, as i said, did you use the setup wizard?

if you can do nothing with the controller traktor is propably not mapped, which should be the case when you use the setup wizard

 

but it always did work. any tips on mapping it then as that sounds very new please

i tried the old version traktor le that i used to use and that came on straightawaay. how can i get trak pro to be like that again?

is there an omnicontrol or generic midi device which is empty?

 

hi there is 2 to choose from not sure which one is the one i need. either way i chose generic midi first and the mapping table was empty. went to import then default and the table filled up lights came on omni board that was it but when i closed it and went back it was all empty again. also i then went back and tried numark mix a selection again table was empty. thanks so far for your help please any ideas now.

just another thing i never had to do anything when i upgraded it just all worked straight of why would this suddenly happen is there something i could done?
