One more logic+kontakt+panther question

Well, so far I'm alone with my error... here is a different question:
Does anyone on this board use Logic 6.4 or 5.5 with Kontakt 1.5.3 and Panther 10.3.4. Just seeing if this combo works for anyone at all. I get an error code and Kontakt can't load as a plugin into Logic.

i use kontakt w/ logic 6.3.3 and pather 10.3.4, no prob.

 

i use logic 6.4 with kontakt 1.5.3 and panther 10.3.4, and it generally works except for some weird crashes sometimes, but i've mainly figured out how to prevent them.

 

i have no problems using os 10.3.4, logic 5.5.1 and kontakt 1.5.3

Thanks so much for all your responses. I was hoping it was a bigger issue but I guess not. Probably something specific only to me. Well, I found a great drum module by Fxpansion called BFD to get me by on drums (was using Kontakt). I will be doing other sampler stuff and hopefully one day this will resolve by Kontakt since Emagic and Apple are clueless. Thanks again,

It is normal that Apple nor Emagic can help you, you seems to have a NI
problem.

I have one question for you :
Did you try to load stand alone KONTAKT, is it working ? did you
configure it ? What is the setup !

Everybody that has, "legal" KONTAKT 1.5.3, working under MAC OS 10.3.4 with
Logic with only a few little problems.

May be you have one file damage !
If you could run Norton Disk doctor that may help !
May be you should delete visible and invisible files with ³KONTAKT² in there
name, and re-install KONTAKT from scratch, be careful when you do the
different updates

Hi Cyril,

First off, my copy of Kontakt IS legal, NI has been emailing me about
this, with no luck so far, and the emails take 3-4 days between replies
which is typical, but I was trying the forums for the heck of it. This
last post was just to see if this combo of software worked at all, I
had given up. But here you are my friend, I thank you

I re-installed Kontakt, I tried just using 1.5, now that pulled up as a
plugin, BUT it doesn"t work correctly and crashes logic AND if I close
it and try to open it again, it crashes Logic. 1.5.2 & 1.5.3 do NOT
work. I upgraded from 1.5 to 1.5.2 then to 1.5.3 AND have upgraded from
1.5 straight to 1.5.3 (per NI suggestion).

The standalone version DOES work, it is configured to do 1 stereo out
and 2 mono outs, DFD is setup. I"m not sure what other settings you
want to know about, there are a lot.

I could buy Norton Disk Doctor and run it, though I did run the Disk
Utility from the Apple install CD when I was on the phone to them and
all was well.

I will try the Kontakt files search, I"ll have to look up how to search
for invisible files.

And just a reminder, this all worked in Jaguar 10.2.8 which is why I"m
not sure about the damaged file theory and why I was trying to talk to
Caesar.

If so I will (it is trial and error)

1) erase all "kontakt" and "native instrument" files and folder (in the
"file² search there is an option to see "invisible files" (see the 4 pdf
attached there is the 2 search and 2 the result I have on my G5)
2) re-install Logic 6.4 (to be sure that you did not delete any files in 1)
3) upgrade to Logic 6.4.2 and set audio hardware
4) install Kontakt 1.5 from original CD
5) Authorise it
6) just set the DFD to 96 / 96 64 voices with standalone Kontakt. (DO NOT
TOUCH the AUDIO SETUP DO NOT GO IN THE SETUP MENU (I HAD PROBLEM WITH THIS
MENU and my Motu 424)
7) upgrade to Kontakt 1.5.3
8) Check DFD setup in standalone Kontakt
9) Make a new song with one Multi kontakt and see if it crashing !

Good to know is that there are plenty problems with Kontakt and Logic
version before 1.5.3
When you launch Logic and if the Kontakt plug-in is crossed. Set it as no
plug ins save your song and re-lauch it
