This whole situation is ludicrous. You would think that with the galloping negativity on the forums and inability to say anything that someone at NI would realize it's time to do damage control, give approval, and let their customers know what's going on.

Between missing promised features, basics not being included, iMaschine being left to whither on the vine, there's a lot of unusual behaviour being exhibited that has me wondering if there's a big problem over at NI.

Sure, I can bring this to the attention of some of our teams so they can see if they can be more open about road-map.

Question: why was the decision made to not be more open about software development? Surely devblogs and progress updates would make great content for newsletters, blog posts and SEO fodder?

The NI forum has been around for years at this point. We're living in 2019. Companies/brands show a lot more behind-the-scenes stuff. Understandably, all brands are different, but a company that makes products for content creation and performance should really be more open about the future.

When customers are asking en masse about what is or isn't happening, I think someone needs to do address it directly.

Yes buddy, completely agree with you though I try to contain myself by focusing on what's happening now.
The same pattern seems to be repeating and that concerns, I won't make a third attempt to try improving things though...

Let me clarify by saying that this is already being discussed internally. When I say I'm not able to comment on such topics myself, it doesn't mean that this isn't being brought up already. This is part of a global discussion and it may take some time before we can be more open about this. I actually made similar statements on other threads here and while I understand you guys expect more, we (here at support) also have to focus on our role.

I will try to offer some information when I can but don't hesitate to tag me back if needed ;)

Yes, we were hoping the topic hasn't got ditched and we had another thread in prior to this where the whole thing was confirmed with a rough estimation of the upcoming progression.
Honestly this isn't about expecting more but just getting any update in this matter. You must understand when we can't see any further comment regarding this after 3 months we turn into skeptical and this is what I don't understand why there is a fall back on simply updating us about that you're still working on this and just need more time, that's it. We all appreciate when getting just a ping as have not been forgotten.

Said that thanks for reaching beyond Support and offering your watch :) I'm looking forward to our cooperation.

PS: I also understand there might be some complication to reach out to every Forum threads to send feedback and if this was the case I consider it as technical limitation, so would be beneficial on both ends to create a Sticky Thread on the top to keep this particular conversation in one place.

Thanks, Matt. I understand it takes for a while though we need to stay in the circulation as I explained in my last comment.

Yeah, I recently helped out a cat with a broken leg by giving a handful mountain river grown baby salmon flavored Whiskas. I think she healed!

I'm curious, as to what NI customers asked for Black keys over MCU , multi-instrument support, and a resizable gui? Anyone know of any?

This is getting ridiculous and yet more disrespectful every day that passes, and Native Instruments doesn't keep us informed with their progress. How hard is it for them to drop by weekly, and let us know what's going on with the customers real concerns and complaints, this isn't to defame Native instruments, it's to make the product and in turn the company better. What is their problem with showing their customers respect?

Weekly is a bit of an unrealistic high expectation IMO, I'd be happy with a monthly update, then again.. considering the speed of development hearing "we are working on it" every month/weekly would probably annoy me even more. Ultimately, if user desires were delivered I would be happy with zero communication... But silence + no delivery is getting a bit ridiculous.

Fair enough, weekly maybe outlandish for a company such as Native Instruments I mean they are so much better and bigger then the small dev's right? Funny how smaller one man developers such as the dev from Resonic Pro a nice app built by one man, shows it can be done, and this is a ONE man developer, who continually, yes weekly keeps in touch with his user base.

Does NI not have the man power to keep in touch with us with updates?
Maybe the fact is they just aren't really working on it?

See the thing about a large company like NI,is they could in fact do something like this,as they have many more dev's and staff to communicate directly if they so chose to,but you're right lets just give them yet another pass.

How many weeks, month's and years should we have to put up with this, before we start creating our own warning blogs to future potential consumers?

I have no idea how you interpreted what I said as "let's give them a pass".

Make one right now, maybe it will have a bigger impact than repeating ourselves 1000 times.
