It was great for what it is, 4 years ago.

But let's be honest, the landscape for mobile music making has changed quite a lot since then. The differences between iMaschine and iMaschine 2, in my opinion, didn't warrant the purchase of a new app.

The differences between the two should have been with upgrades. Even then, the "upgrades" (colours??) didn't even come close to the amount of requests that users had asked for over the past 4 YEARS!!!

Be clear, I WANTED TO USE iMASCHINE. But it's too limited.

I can post some bangin beats that were put together by someone using pots and pans, talent is talent.

What does that have to do with anything that's being said in here??

    Here's a video uploaded from 2010.

    Can you spot the differences?

Refunds? Sure. I'd like to have my money back!
And something for those people, who shattered the illusion that being supportive is leading to a better Product.

You know what, I AM canceling my order for the Maschine Jam and selling every piece of NI stuff I own and replacing them with Hard- and Software from companies who just don't say that they "go forward".
Gonna take a while but yeah, maybe I should do this.

It doesn't have to be a war and pick one side or the other. Some of us are simply happy with iMaschine now and don't want it turned into a complex piece of software. Others want a full DAW. Still others like me are mostly happy but would like a couple more features added.

We knew what the software could do when we bought it, and many of us even researched first and learned that NI was slow to update yet we still bought it.

Pesict I find it hard to believe you even made a pre order for Jam given how much you dislike NI.

@GoGoGomez I don't disagree with you. For what it does or what it has been doing for the better part of 4 years is "neat". But even you have to admit (which you just did above) that what we have works but is a "let down".

Even those who are happy with it, have still asked for minor changes and updates that have fallen on deaf ears.

I don't care to have a full DAW on my iPad (NI has yet to make one for the desktop), but to ask for a scaled down version of Maschine (which an iPad can MORE than handle) is not a ridiculous ask.

They made Traktor DJ and users were able to connect the Traktor controller (S4 Mk. 2) to their iPad. I would LOVE for that functionality with iMaschine.

I challenge ANY mobile producer to buy Beatmaker2, use it for a week and then go back to making beats on iMaschine. Then tell me iMaschine is a "good" app.

I much prefer iMaschine to Beatmaker 2. The workflow for Maschine fits me better. And the chords and scales are key for me.

I haven't used BM2 but it looks a lot like a complex piece of software. Unlike iOS GarageBand or anything on my Mac, iMaschine to me feels immediate and like a musical instrument- everything else feels like software and is less spontaneous for me.

The thing I want most from NI is for them to finish the song layer update they're talking about for Maschine 2.5 and beyond. But ask ten NI customers what features they want next and you'll likely get ten different answers.

My Pre-Order for the Jam is a reservation at a local Shop, since I would like to pick it up at the release day. Want some proof?

To make myself clear: I am not totally disapointed, just in some cases like the mobile Products or the fact NI is not willing to play ball with others (is it so hard to implement Ableton link?), or the fact that I can't use the S8 (as promised) properly.

I've spend a lot - and I can't repeat it often enough - a lot money for NI products, and I expect that they work.
Sure, the most stuff does work as discribed and sold, but it gets more and more annoying. is it to much to ask?

btw: could someone tell me why NI is not capable to support their own Maschine hardware with their iMaschine? take a look at Arturia and their mobile solution for Spark....

Wow, I didn't care for FL mobile 2 but the screen shots for the 3 beta look pretty great.

Check that date on the post. That was a year and half ago. It's good to be forever before it's available for everyone.

Anybody hating on this is just a hater... I don't even use Fl Studio but this is genius and has my full attention :D man they've come along way from fruity loops with rink dinky sounds to a multitouch daw to be taken seriously. I wonder does it work with mac stuff as well? But either way I'll get this for my windows based rig. Thanks for posting

Who's a hater? People have different needs and ideas when it comes to making music.

Not everyone wants more and bigger features. Some people prefer to use focused or limited instruments and equipment. In fact I hear some people are happy with just an acoustic guitar and tapping their feet.

GarageBand on iPhone does far more than iMaschine 2 could ever dream of doing yet some of us prefer iMaschine.

Yeah, iMaschine could be updated with non obtrusive additions like support for midi keyboards and the workflow and UI wouldn't be changed at all - it feels lazy and cheap for this not to be in there and the whole thing feels like abandonware at this point. But please, PLEASE NI do not cram a million more features and menus into updates or future versions of the app.

If you're not a hater than why reply is a better question to answer than who is or is not a hater... What you like has nothing to do with my statement in fact if you don't use FL Studio then you really shouldn't have anything to say about my statement unless you were hating on the FL studio working on a tablet, phone and desktop. No where in my statement do I even mention iMaschine and please don't lecture me about what is needed to make music because I am one of those who has just picked up a guitar and a cell phone and uploaded just that recording. Even in your own statement you are contradicting yourself and you actually mentioning some of the simple things myself and others have ask for. So you can continue to beg NI not to improve iMaschine and contradict yourself all you want and I'll continue to make statements that actually make sense.

Heck yes. I love it. Wonder why they don't update the korg collection vst's. I don't like the sequencer in it though. It sucks lol.

Yeah the sequencer is a little different but not to hard to get used to . Some great sounds , only got the le version .
I'm looking to get the vst collection , you get an le version with some controllers, I've been looking at the korg Bluetooth 25 keyboard for my iPad , u can then upgrade the software for 100 so it works out cheaper to just buy a controller
