One big con... integrated graphics and no way to add a graphics card. Integrated graphics are a bad idea on any machine. I'd step up to a cheaper Area-51 myself if you're dead set on 1) Alienware (who do build nice PCs, btw) and 2) a laptop.

If this is for live work, have you thought of building a rackmount PC? That's what I did for my most recent machine, and I couldn't be happier.
The downside? More weight. Carrying around a mouse, keyboard and display.
The upside? Infinitely more expandable and customizable.

Tx! Not hell bent on alienware just on the hunt for a solid new rig...Love the rack mount idea don't think I wanna tote it around though....I'm looking to streamline a set-up thats "carry-on" style......Infinitley more expandable and customizable is a good thing!http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/8193/ Your new keyboard soulution?....not sure if it works but it looks kinda cool....Now if we could get the Minority Report screen thingy Tom Cruise had....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp-y3ZNaCqs
