Option to de-activate the "Read Only" protection for NI presets in Attribute Editor

One of the main reasons I love Maschine is for it's browser and the awesome tagging. I've put a lot of time into saving various presets in Komplete instruments as "My Favorites," and it's very frustrating that I can't add my own tags or attributes to presets within Maschine. I suppose I could load up every single one of my favorites in the VST and re-save them, but this is quite arduous.

+1 I wonder that not more people suggested this feature since there a tons of posts about this all over the MACHINE Area forum. We really need a possibility to mark/tag/organize factory sounds/instruments/etc.

Having spent a long time tagging my favourite sounds in 1.8 I find I can't import the tags into version 2 AND there is no way to tag sounds because they're "read only".

This is a MAJOR oversight. To be honest I much preferred the 1.8 browser.

I hope this can be fixed soon.

Maybe if the people who have complained about this issue in other places in the Maschine forum could add their comments in this thread so all the complaints are in the same place?

This is driving me nuts.

 

+1 for me too. I went to town buying Maschine expansions during the sale last Xmas and I have 1400+ groups in my factory library. The ability to tag favourites would save so much time.

I don't see much advantage at all in those tags being read-only either.

 

+1000 This topic is as old as Maschine 2.0. I getting tired of NI not listening to their customers

 

It seems it might have been done to prevent users messing up their factory libraries and content, but a "reset library to factory settings" function in preferences would have been a better option in my opinion. This and a favourites button (that can be used from the hardware) is the majority of what users would need, I think. The basics, at least anyway.

 

+1 Without better management I am less interested in updating Komplete and buying content.
