option to not treat grid markers as cues

it would be good if we could turn off grid markers in the miniature waveform, where, especially on tracks with uneven tempo, they often make it difficult to see the actual cues, AND they render the "time to next cue" function useless.

By 'miniature waveform' do you mean the option with just ticks as the grid markers?

 

the one below the big waveform, it shows the whole track. i would like for the beat grid markers to still perform their duties but not appear as markers in there, nor be counted in "time to next cue" calculations

It is related, because on emulated beatgrids i end up with hundreds of white beat markers

yeah that is exactly the kind of situation it would be useful for

 

I would like the opportunity to set the beat grid, completely independent of the Beatpads, or Que. This or these beat grids can be seen but do not take up space on the pads. Completely simply because they have nothing to do with each other. If I want, I should also be able to put a Que / or beratmarker also on a beatgrid. But only when I choose it myself.
I would also like to be able to put MARKERS and / or flags as, with different color options, where I myself want to mark different things. Mix in, mix out etc. I want to be able to marke them, WITHOUT them taking up space and being marked on the Beatpads.

Hi,

You can already set beat markers that don't take up hotcue space.

Untick the option to "set hotcue as beatmarker" option.

For this to work for you moving forward, you'll need to delete every single 1st hotcue in your track collection (which will also probably get rid of the beatgrid on each track).
Then you'll need to set a 1st beatmarker to set the grid again on each track. Then you can set your first Hotcue and choose whether it is your 1st load or cue marker.
It's a timely process, but the only way to get it done.

As for colour coded beatmarkers, this isn't a feature Traktor currently has, and I think it's been requested multiple times already. One can only hope!
