I know how to add presets to the My Favorites folder, but I'm not sure how to organize/separate them further. For example, grouping presets that I like or use the most by type (leads, keys, pads, etc.). Any help would be appreciated.

Why not use the Type/Subtype columns? Sounds can be tagged, so that info shows there. Example:

Thanks for the response. I was thinking more like a way to drag patches into a custom bank or folder.

Use "Attributes" and/ or "Save as".

Thanks, 'Save as' is working for me.

Just remember that it's the attributes that decide in which bank the preset is. And when you use save as you create a copy of the original. So if you don't delete the original preset form it's folder, then you will get dublicates.
Also remember you can organize you presets just by moving them to other folders. But it's still the bankname in the attributes that decide what bank they are in. A folder is'nt a bank.

Don't forget the data base bank name.
