    Okay,

So I've had machine for about 4 months and have been slowly becoming comfortable with it after just a little bit of usage. I made a really awesome track with a sampled .wav file. I added drums and saved it.

Here's where the problem is...when I went back into it to add another part after the first section the first sections sample doesnt play. I went into piano mode and saw that it was still there, it wasnt deleted. The second part I made for the song works fine, it plays back fine but when i play the entire track from the begining, there's no sample sound.

Can someone please help? It's a really dope song and I need to get that sound back!

    Thanks.

kyle - sorry but from this side of the fence it doesn't make sense....

you may have to re-explain to get help here pal.

how much do you understand maschine and how it works?
    have you checked mutes?
does the pad with the "sample" on still contain the file? (tip: press the sample tab and see if the wave form shows)

to help resolve this we will need the above and/or some screenshots.

    cheers

Sorry if Ididn't explain it enough...

I've checked out the mute situation and it's not muted. It still contains the file, and it still has the piano parts (aka the specific pattern) that I originally did.

The only thing I can think of is that the .wav file I used to sample for the second section is the same file I used for the first section. Meaning I cut and edited that sample file instead of the original sample file...therefore altering the first sample.

The file itself has a really long name and I couldn't see the number 1 after the name so I couldve easily sampled the orginal sample and altered it somehow.

I was able to rerecord that part (pretty much identical to how it was) but I still want to know about this so I don't do it in the future. I'm at work now but when I get home I can get some screen shots.

    Thanks for your help.
