    Upgrade successfully installed but...

I bought the downloadable upgrade and installed it. Everything worked fine first time and it seems to be working fine as an RTAS plug-in in ProTools.
Thanks to all at NI involved in the upgrade.

However, I have the following questions:
    1. I installed Pro 53 as an upgrade to the Pro52 which came bundled with my Digi 002. During installation it accepted the CD and the existing serial number from my Pro52 version.

However, I now neede to register my Pro 53, otherwise I cannot access the extra presets etc. in the registered users area. Problem is, the registration process will not accept my Pro 52 serial number as valid for Pro 53 (even though it was accepted during installation).
Can you please advise how I register my Pro 53 (upgraded from Pro 52 digi edition)?

    2. The Pro 53 upgrade had an 'update to the manual' section in the .html file. However, where can I get the Pro53 manual? I have the Pro 52 ProTools bundle version (no manual) which I have now upgraded to Pro 53 (still no manual).

    3. Using Pro 53 with Digi 002 in standalone mode does not seem to be an option. Will this be addressed in a future update? Strange thing is that it accepts midi inputs via my Digi 002, but selecting the Digi as an Audio soundcard is not available - only my Mac Powerbook 'Built-in' soundcard is available in the pull-down preferences.

    nreyes -

    Here's how you do it:

    1. Register Pro-52.

    2. Go to Pro-53 Updates page...

    http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?pro53updates_us

...and request a Pro-53 serial number. This will be sent to you via email.

    3. Register Pro-53 with your new serial number.

    4. Enjoy PRO-53 on Mac OSX!

    Problems updating

I'm trying to update here and now I get to the map to choose my country. When I get to 'continue' it just takes me back to the map of the world!

    Any ideas here?

    Regards

    Stephen

Same here. First I choose the region (Europe), then the country (Finland), and it just takes me back to choose the region.

I had the same problem and I think their servers are gettin a heavy load right now. But I managed to get by this page by trying a few times.

I have been playing with Pro 53 in Logic 6 OSX and it seems to run beutifully :)

How frustrating! I've tried several times to get past the map.

So near, yet so far away!

RTAS XP So far so good

So far Pro-53 RTAS on XP seems ok.
It could not find the default patches the first time I opened it in Pro-Tools 6.1 TDM MIx.

    Hi Stephen!

Wich webbrowser do you use? I got the same errror as you got while runninge Safari. I then tried a few times with Mozilla and finaly got past the frustrating "map" .

I think this is a cookie error by the way.

    Give Mozilla a go.

    Maybe this url:

I've tried Safari, IE Mac, IE PC....

I really shouldn't have to install a new browser to do this!

Has anyone been sucessful with, say, safari?

    Regards

    Stephen!

Sorry for not being there for you last night :)

Glad that the problem got solved!

NI see if you cant change this behaviour and may use session instead of cookies?

    Still got problems registering

    Hello.

Thanks for the prompt answer (from ADMIN, see above).

However, it still hasn't solved the problem. I have already registered my PRO 52 when I bought my Digi 002 & installed Pro 52 bundled with the software.

I confirmed that it is registered this morning (when I logged into the registered products area of my NI user account), and sure enough, Pro 52 (Digi Edition) is registered along with my other NI products.

Problem is, when I then try to request a Pro 53 S/N from the Pro53 page, it won't accept my login. I note that in the left margin login box I am already logged in, so how come it is asking to login again?

I should point out that Pro 53 installed correctly yesterday and is working fine. I do however want to register my paid upgrade (as I normally do with my other NI products) and gain access to the user area for the extra presets too.

    Thanks to provide a solution.

    Best regards,

    Nigel REYES
