OSX 10.2 logic platinum 6.3.1=solid but +kontakt =unusable system

    Hi Native-Instrument team. READ THIS
    Once again. Please fix kontakt 1.5. I want to use it with logic platinum 6.3.1 but when
    its installed it literally destrory my whole system. Logic 'unexpectadly' quits when
    booting up and the only time i did get it to boot up, it was ropey and had no multi-
    iinstrument support (which i read is a NON-AU trait). My mac was ROCK SOLIID until your software came in to my life,
    now i cannot use my system with your program on.
    Also, Why is your company 'selective'/'screening 'what mails you respond to now? Ok
    You-ve all messed up with this release and you've got loads of angry customers but
    why be rude and hide?
    I also need to know my user name and password again so when the update for me
    (not pc) is available i might be able to use your software but it appears your ignoring
    me. You reply to airy fairy maiils but not the serious ones. My freind who bought the
    update is STILL waiting for his initial details also from you.
    What system did you try kontakt on? 10.2,10.3, Panther etc..... Tell me this. As on the
    web, people are starting to question if Native-Instruments has in a major wait
    decieved the public and has not written 1.5 in Audio Units but instead used a 'crappy'
    wrapper. When will all the PC fans realize that people want OSX and macs for Audio
    Units and rock solid stability because VST on the PC was Crap(Ive experienced both)
    Im a professional producer
    who has had many hours wasted by NI's incompitance to program software for the
    mac correctly. If you cant do it DONT.
    SO.
    NO.1- I want a reply.
    NO.2-Is Kontakt 1.5 Audio Units or vst+wrapper. (this is a legal question).
    NO.3-what is my name and password.I have 2, neither of them work.
    NO.4-I want an update for 1.5 written in Pure AU code. Not a wrapper.
    NO.5-What did you test 1.5 on. OSX 10.1/10.2/10.2.6/10.2.8/panther? I dosent work
    on any.
    I would like the truth and a prompt reply as time has been wasted through
    incompetance and lies and I feel NI have over stepped the mark here and i feel that
    possibly something illegal/misguiding has gone on here.
    A prompt reply is needed. This mail will be sent agaiin and again until i recieve the
    info and answers i need.

    Sorry I'm not replying from NI. Just to add my support for what your saying. I too am a professional producer using Logic 6.3.2 with Kontakt 1.5.1. on
    a G4 powerbook 1GHz 512Mb running OSX. DFD is totally unusable and generally disappointing performance from a buggy program.

    Your problems seem all too familiar....

    Support at NI is really slow these days, and when they respond, it's usually with an answer that looks to me like stalling.

    Your problems with Kontakt an Logic seem familiar too, but NI support say they don't know about any other problems like that. Be sure to write them, so that I'm not alone in their list of unsolved problems. My setup is about the same as MaximusBs - Logic 6.3.2, Kontakt 1.5.1, 1,25 GHz Powerbook G4 with OSX10.2.8.

    Before registering, I couldn't open Logic at all, with no error message. Now it works fine most of the time, only around 1/4 of the time asking me to try to save my song (why should I? I just try to open my autoload). After that, it gives me the same error message it gives you. I also get this message every now and then when I try to open a project.

    When I remove Kontakt from the components folder, everything works as it should.

    No need to be rude. If you're a professional you should know better than to flame people and behave like an ass just to get attention; the nice customers are easier to help because the WANT to be helped.

    And don't go down the "wrapper" lane, please. It's already been discussed in another thread, and we got very informative replies from NI stating that there's no cheating going on - the AU is an AU and that's the end of that. Don't waste our time with unfounded criticism. I'm running Kontakt 1.5.1 on Logic 6.3.2 through an M-audio Firewire 410 in Mac OS 10.3 (Panther) on a Powerbook G4 Titanium, and my system is ROCK SOLID, with totally acceptable

    As for why NI are not responding to your contact attempts - well, that really sucks. I definitely take your side there, a paying customer should not have to wait in line.

    I wonder if our dear moderators would be so kind as to inform their bosses about this?

    - Well.... There seem to be others having the same problems - three in this thread - and the fact that your system runs fine doesn't mean everyone elses system will.

    - It seems support is a bit slow these days. It's not a real problem for me, as I'm an amateur, but I hope they will improve on that.

    Still no Response from NI. Please moderator... contact me..
    Im in touch with motu about the mach 5 sampler. Ive now had enough and want a refund from a large company whom takes the pi**.All too common in todays society. Im also considering contacting the DTI.
    Please Ni, start being polite, I cant talk to you the normal way through e-mails/ your new system because non of my user name /passes work although their in my details on your site. It means Ive paid a company=you, some money for software to write excellent tracks and all i get is a ticket to a damn forum. Crappy software,crappy customer support....blah blah blah...
    A little message to OSX 10.2.8 users. You may find ,as i did that Kontakt works better on 10.2.6. It worked (ropey and no multi-channel support) for about an hour before blowing up my system. Now, logic just unexpectadly quits when using 10.2/10.2.6 and 10.2.8. Also,that Panther rubbish dosent help. Sorry, i guess my thread of info dosent help anybody but hopefully a few hearts will be warmed by the thought "Im not the only one"

    sorry if this is an too obvious question. did you already register your kontakt?? because if not, this is where your problems come from. before registering i had all the same issues but now it works quite fine.

    mac os x 10.2.8. ti-powerbook, 1Ghz, 1GB Ram, emi 6-2, logic 6.3.2.

    the issues that remain: dfd doesn't work properly, sometimes crashes if deleting instances in kontakt (that's it for me).

    That's not my point. I merely pointed out that if the Kontakt AU was indeed only a "crappy wrapper", everyone would have problems. They don't.

    - I have the same problems, and I have definately registered it. Before authorizing, with the temporary Kontakt, I couldn't start Logic at all, and it didn't give me any error messages, as it does now.

Please Mediator, forward this mail to him for a response again. Please understand.. This is the ONLY way i can contact you. If you looked into my problem you would see why.Help ME.

Thankyou for the hint also, I WANT TO TRY YOUR UPDATE but once again ,you site wont let me it. Im not a hacker/cracker. Im a legitimate paying customer but im locked out on all fronts.On your site my username and pass are correct but still it wont have me. Ive requested loads of new passwords, my original pass gets sent/ it dosent work.
    At the 'support form'=pass not recognised,to get another go to product registration. When their I select kontact and put in the registation number... (I've tried my original and v.1.5's number)= This serial number has allready been enterer. "I KNOW I REGISTERED IT, WHY THE PROBLEMS???!!!"

    STEPHAN... help me man...Please...my lifes wasting away on a forum!...(no-disrespect to forum users)

    Thats all i can give you. What more can i give you. Sorry if its not the done thing to do things this way, but as said,multiple times... I CANNOT CONTACT YOU IN ANY OTHER WAY. Please do not send me a mail telling me to use the support form(IT WONT LET ME IT. Please do not mail me to say "try the update"(IT WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD IT).. Please now spend a little time and help.
    GIVE ME A USERNAME AND PASSWORD THAT WORKS.(the username is obviously my e-mail but the pass you give me DOES NOT WORK.

    Please don't take it as an offense, but I've made this mistake myself, so I thought there was at least a tiny chance you've done the same. I got two passwords when I registered with NI the first time. One for the forum and another for everything else. The two passwords are not identical, even though the user name is.

    Yes,I understand i have two passwords. To NI- the last bit of info i can give you. Another password I have of you is- 39610990. This wont let me to the update page, the support form or the Forum. That ones totally duff. Please NI/.......look into my details,find the problem and get back to me. I've be trying to sort this out for weeks and weeks.
    cheers Perry.... oh, have you a phone number you can give me for the people at NI that actually investigate problems for customers. Im in danger of 'private jet' becomming a cult figure! I just want to write some slammin tracks but maybe fame and fortune will be gained this way!

    Not that I know of. Is it dangerous? ;) I'm a bit restrictive about my personal details on the internet, so no phone number. I've mailed NI through support, and they've got my nick with an attached email adress, so they can get in touch with me if they want.

    I'm sorry you're having such a frustrating/troubling experience. Unfortunately I'm not your man for technical support, but here's what I can do:

    I tried to log in with your information from my computer here. It told me I'm logged in but the fields for the Supp Form don't appear. They do with my personal login. Is this the problem you're having on the support page or is it something else?

    I will pass your info along to our Web techs and see if they understand what's happening.

    Hi all,
    Thankyou Perry whoever you are. Things are starting to move for me. Also,thankyou to Native Instruments who now appear to be helping and obviously its cool and thankyou for taking my details off the forum (it really is the only way at the mo...sorry if i broke the rules?...)
    so, I presume you've seen the above as that password is the last thing i can give you to help... Now... This might help us.....
    The original kontact program was registered to my twin brother James, although i paid for it, i didnt have the internet at the time so we did it all in his name. I chatted to you when thinking of 1.5 and we discussed and sorted out the fact that I would have to re-register it in my name so that v1.5 purchasing /registering/authorizing would all go smoothly etc.... It obviously hasnt!
    Maybe your sytem has the original registered now in my name and my brothers?=system confusion? so when i put on 1.5 the codes etc are gobbledegook(what a good word!).... I dont know.
    please continue to help me with Gusto NI, I just want to chill and write some tracks, and... say goodbye to all the good people on this forum.
    -Please mail me the correct details.
    -also, a mail from you i recieved gave a hint that (obviously when i have the details to try) that i should authorize it in standalone first before using it in logic. Have you any other nuggets of info that will help me?
    -also, to all....when you first boot up logic/kontakt, it asks for the installation cd. Is this meant to be the original disc or the disc with the download v.1.5 on? I just want to be sure everything is done properly so i can make my own decisions to weather Kontakt really does work now with the update or not and off to the mach-5! Incidently, it only started with the original disc and the download 1.5 did nothing. is this right?

    sorry i ignored your mail, yes ,i registered it, put it on the system, got the code, sent it to you, I recieved a full authorization and put it in. =Logic 'unexpectadly quits' when booting up most of the time and if it does boot up.. no-multichannel support and a system that is totally unstable and unusable.
