Solved OSX 11.3 BigSur Update Native S3 dropouts

Hi Community,

after updating to the latest OSX Update 11.3 (before is used 11.2.3) I have permanent glitches and mini dropouts when I use my Native Kontrol S3 I have now tested is it Traktor or the S3 and after testing with Virtual DJ the same dropouts even with high latency settings , I have then tested an really old Denon MC6000 MK2 , this is working without any problems with Traktor and VirtualDj so this is a S3 Problem , I will also send a Support Ticket, can any other other use check this?

Hardware MacBook Air M1 8GB RAM Native S3 with latest firmware with no problems before with 11.2.3 now with 11.3 audio dropouts every 40-50 seconds small glitches but hearable

 

Hey, i can confirm this problem. I have the same problem with exact the same hardware!
I already changed the buffing-time and the latency, but with no positive result...

 

I have opened a Support Ticket and NI will investigate the Problem , when anyone else has Problems please Open up also Tickets

 

Hi everybody, I have the same problem: Macbook Pro2020 with M1 Chip and BigSur 11.3 and the played track is characterized by mini breaks mostly occurring when acting on the X1 Kontrol unit or the pre-listened Time Code vinyl. I have been in exchange with the tech. support with several emails. Today, the tech. support forwarded me to this site, thus, they are already aware of the problem and communicated it to Apple (I have been informed via email about this step). By the way, the update to BigSur 11.3.1 does not solve the problems just to let you know. The good thing is that NI pursuits steps to get it fixed by contacting Apple. For me it is somehow questioning why NI is advertising that they managed to get Traktor running on Big Sur while people communicate these problems. Either you provide a problem-free software or not but do not advertise anything being compatible when this is not the case.

Same problem here with Big Sur 11.3.1. In my case it was working without issues on 11.3, now that I’ve updated I’m having mini dropouts every 40-50 seconds.

Maxbook Air M1 2020 / Kontrol S4 mk2.

 

Same problem here, on both S8 and Z1, running Traktor 3.4.2 on MacBook Pro M1 2020.
It worked very well on previous BigSur 11.2 version, since 11.3 I've started to notice audio glitches.
Just to mention this is happening only when playing via controller, not the case when playing on internal MBP sound card.

 

Ok, so I have the same problem. I was so happy for my new Mac. Will Apple and NI give the solution soon?

 

Hi ppz, also the same problem with traktor 3 , audio 6 and a a brand new mackbook pro m1....got it fixed by downgrading the OS to 11.2. fyi

Christian Kaiser sure, i followed all the steps in this video, and it worked flawlessly, i installed to 11.2.3, but u can choose other versions,

I have the same problem. Audio dropouts.

MacBook Air M1 BigSur 11.3.1. I didn't have the opportunity to test on a previous version of BigSur, but it works just fine on Intel iMac 10.2.3.

I have the same problems but only with the Kontrol S2 MK3.

When using my MacBook Air M1 with my Kontrol S4 MK3 everything runs smooth, same with using my iPad Air (3rd Gen) and the Kontrol S2.

But as soon as I try to use the MacBook Air with the S2, I get audio dropouts every 50 seconds. I thought I was going mad at first until I found this post.

Does anyone know how long NI usually take to rectify these things? I am new to Traktor, and the hardware, only got them this week, and just want an idea of how responsive they are as a company?

I have raised a ticket so hopefully the more of us that do this the sooner it is resolved.

Has any of the posters here recieved a reply from NI yet? I want to hold off returning to a previous version of MacOs if a solution is on its way.
