OSX Lion doesn't recognize Audio 2

    Hi all,

I bought an Audio 2, and foolishly plugged it in before installing the drivers. I've tried using the NI uninstaller, reinstalling, everything I can think of, but the "NI USB Audio" tool always says "no Native Instruments USB device connected", and it doesn't show up in any programs / sound utilities. I've had my friend, running Leopard, install the device and it works fine, and it shows up in System Information as "Traktor Audio 2". I have an aluminum macbook that I've put 8 GB of RAM in (any chance that's related?). I'm assuming OSX has associated some generic USB driver with my Audio 2, and now I can't get rid of that association to allow it to function normally. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Ben

I wonder if this is the same with my Audio 8 - will avoid the upgrade for now

I'm having a similar issue - under Apple Menu -> About This Mac -> More Info -> System Report -> USB.... i can see that "Traktor Audio 2" is listed under "USB High-Speed Bus"... so I know the device is powering up OK.

It's just none of my software detects the extra audio interface, and the NI USB Audio system preferences pane shows "no Native Instruments USB device connected".

I rebooted into Windows XP (BootCamp) and get a similar issue - the driver loads up OK and Windows detects the device, but the NI Control Panel still shows no device connected... so I'm suspecting something specific on m machine, or with the Audio 2 (faulty?)

Did you install the driver for the Traktor Audio 2 (rather than Audio 2 DJ) ?

Ahh.. doh. You're right, I had installed the "Audio 2 DJ" not the "Traktor Audio 2" driver...

Completely removed the Audio 2 DJ driver, rebooted, installed the Traktor Audio 2 driver (it did come up with an error when installing)... but upon rebooting it seems to work OK now.

    Thanks!
