Well hello stranger... good to hear from you man, been some time.

To all users, please make 'certain' (which means checking, not assuming;) that you have not only updated the drivers for your X1 or any devices etc but also install the latest version of Controller Editor 1.6.0. This does not install with the latest version of Traktor but it is essential. It can be found in the Free Updates section.

I was wondering if Traktor Pro 1.2.7 was working with Mavericks yet? If you guys could give some specific hardware/software set ups after switching to Mavericks and if it's stable that would be helpful. Thanks.

I installed today the mavericks and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 (2.6.4) with a audio 8 and kontrol X1 Mk1, i play with 4 decks (2 Scratch and another 2 decks for x1) and works fine, and better my CPU is much more stable than Lion OS X. For me everything is fine so far.

definitely an unsupported combo - hence all you can do is try and see.

where did you find this info? I appreciate it. I may try and trouble shoot a bit after my weekend gigs and backup my bootable HD. if not i may have to upgrade to 2.6 i just had gotten so comfortable with 1.2.7 and my mapping.

Drive space is cheap. Keep clones of your drives, invaluable as backup and test tools. All drives will fail at some point. 100%.

Seems to be working ok on my 2010 MBP. Tested it last night and have a gig tonight! At first I swear I noticed a slightly greater lag when scratching timecode with a 512 latency setting. I tried about 15 mins later and it seemed normal. Everything has been ok since. Wow does Mavericks use less battery.

Better battery life, yes, I'm getting about 2 hours more general usage, and about 30 min more at gigs on my 2011 MBA 13"

Did 2 gigs over the weekend, Friday on a Xone DB2 with 2.2.6 drivers which worked without issues, my pair of X1mk2 and an F1 ... And last night on a club's DJM850 and my pair of X1mk2 and F1, again no issues. Both nights set at 48k, 192 sample buffer.

Mind you I had the iPad mini and Z1 on standby if the DB2 started to glitch, and there were a pair of 2k's last night if required. Friday was 4 hours, Saturday 5 hours so I'm pretty happy with the update that I was going to wait till after the weekend, but you know how it is, something new so you want to try it

Anybody had the 'Finder Unexpectedly Quit' loop on Mavericks yet..?

I had it today. Booted the MBP, didn't touch it all, iTunes loaded (I leave it open so it opens on boot up) and Finder quit. Cancel the crash dialog and Finder starts up and crashes again. Impossible to get out of the loop without shutting down and restarting.

The MBP was fine for my gig tonite but I have this Finder issue in the back of my mind now.
Theres quite a bit of chatter on the Apple support site about this.

If you're using a S4 on Mountain Lion do NOT update the driver!!! It made a disaster of my gig tonight… the volume level's kept changing on their own and the crossfader was totally f'ed. I am SO mad that I installed this update. NI: PULL THE S4 DRIVER!

Example: I bring the A fader down and the music still plays until I move the cross fader. Then when I cross fade back to A it starts off too loud, then the volume drops as if I'm fading out. I've never sounded worse and the distraction of this caused my set to be way off. Luckily I'm already a resident here. If this was a one-night gig it could be a major issue.

This thread is about Mavericks so this post is in the wrong place but, if you are having issues with the 2.6.0 driver please contact Support.

In the meantime you can use the Uninstaller Tool to delete the 2.6.0 driver and reinstall the previous driver. The tool is available on the Free Updates Section.
