I am using Traktor LE (bundled with Vestax VCI-100)
I have a gig tonight and yesterday I went to the club to try the set up.

the mixer used is an allen-heath, with a pair of turntables connected, 2 cd players and 2 more stereo channels connected.

I have plugged in the output from my sound card (m-Audio Audiophile) in the mixer.
Changed the switch from phono to line, raised the gain of my channel and ...... God...... the sound is impressively low. I try to pump the volume of traktor up to the maximum and turn the gain as much as I can (avoiding distorsion) but it can never get up to the volume of the turntables (those gain are less than half way).
I have tried to swap channel and see if it was a problem of the channel strip itself, but no way. All channels work fine.
I really need to find out a way to increase the volume coming out of my mac (through the sound card)

    So to recap:
    - an apple mac with traktor LE
    - an m-audio audiophile (firewire) with output level set to the max
    - a mixer allen-heath
    - a laptop volume that is half the volume of turntables and cd players

An opportuinity could be to lower decks volume down to the level of the laptop and turn up the general volume. But the sound is not really exciting.....

Any suggestion or help or product to buy to fix this problem is WHOLEHEARTEDLY appreciated.

    Cheers

Does LE have the Limiter? - like I said in the other thread don't trust the Limiter - it behaves in really unpredictable ways.
