One thing I find annoying is not being able to save factory presets, overriding the existing ones. This might be tags, rating, sound tweaks or whatever. Not just in Massive but across the whole product range.

So ... why not allow saving of factory presets BUT instead of overwriting the factory one just write it into the relevant user location with the same name. Then when Massive(FM8, Absynth etc) shows the preset list ignore any factory presets that have been saved into the user location and shows the user version instead.

This sort of fakes being able to save factory presets easily but doesn't overwrite the original preset, just masks it.

I just move the factory patches into the user folder.

And that is exactly the way it shouldn't be done ... "never overwrite originals" is what every photographer learns and why should it be different in music?

Why not saving in the user library with a different name and just add "custom" to the name?

But there's one thing I also miss ... every instrument should have a favourite and rating system similar to Absynth.
