Just got maschine a few days ago. Love it, however when I sample and put the samples on the pads. When I go to tap a pad it takes a second for the sample to play, from the maschine controller or from my keyboard controller. Haven't seen a post on this topic. Help please I'm getting pissed.

make sure there is no space in front of your sample, go into the waveform editor and check it, make sure the sample starts right where the sound is, with no space between the sample and the actual start of the file

Thank you fam, for all your help. That wasn't the problem but it seems to be working now. Another question, how do I delete files. I see there is samples in my library that I don't want there. It's stuff I chopped up but I changed my mind on using. How do I discard it and where all these files going. I want to re-route them to my external hard drive instead of my system Hard Drive. Thank you again Joe for all your help.

I'm not exactly sure on the Mac, but they should be going into your user library, you have a user location, and there will be a samples folder in there.

As far as deleting them, you should be able to delete them directly from the folder or if you see them in your library, right click on them and select remove from library, it will also give you the option to "delete from disk" check that box and they will be deleted.

Problem is back, I know I can keep a beat. When ever i hit the pad there is a delay. It's not the latency, not sure what it is. I know how to keep a beat and If I hit the pad on the 1 it will play on the 1/2 mark or so. I can make a track. It only happens when I sample something. When I use the factory sounds I have no problem. It's getting real frustrating. This was suppose to things easier not more difficult. Has any one else had this problem? I never had this problem on the MPC.

Never heard of anyone having this problem, sounds like an issue with your sampling setup, I can sample into it and still not get this problem, I'm unable to recreate it.

You sure there's no space at the start of your sample? does it play late if you just hit the pad without trying to record it, does it only do it when you try to record? Do you have any quantize settings turned on?

Yes it does it with out me trying to record. It's doing it I as type. There is no space at the beginning of the sample. I've tried quantize on and off. I don't know whats up. I don't think it's an hardware issue cause it does the same thing when I use my keyboard.

sounds like something in your settings somewhere with your sampling, i'm sure if it was a common issue folks would be highly vocal about it, I can't see it being common with so many people using Maschine for sampling.

wish I was there bro! lol

No doubt, I might have to fly you out. I playing with it now and I'm not having that issue. I noticed it when I was using the slice function, but it also seemed to do it even if I did my own slicing. I'll keep playing with it and see what's happens.

I too had this issue before I bought an audio interface. Do you have one? If so, you should be able to adjust your settings so that this is not an issue.

Yes I have a Mbox2, I notice it only happens when I put a sample in slice mode. I've been manually chopping them up. I'm use to doing it that way any way. What settings do you suggest I adjust? Thank you for your response.

something similar happens to me from time to time. it happens when the maschine has been connected to my mac that has been woken from sleep mode.
quitting maschine, unplugging and restarting fixes it back up. it's nothing to do with soundcard settings.

I had the same problem, but I fixed it, check your latency settings and also your usb cable.
