Paint issue on Z2 - still happening?

    Hi, I've ordered a new Z2 which is due to be delivered tomorrow. :D

    I am just wondering if anyone who has recently received a Z2 is experiencing the problems with the paint scratching off or if this was just a problem with an initial batch of the mixers?

    my white lines below the xfader have disappeared in the first 2 3 days of use :( ... but i dont care as long as it works like this... the fader and everything else of course :)

    ive emailed the support after they have told me a month a go that they will ship the face plates in the end of july... still no answer... has someone recieved a faceplate in the last week or two?

    I just received an email earlier this week saying that they've worked out the kinks on the faceplate and should be sending to me soon. I re-confirmed my shipping address in the U.S.

    NI email:
    "Thank you again for your patience regarding your Traktor Kontrol Z2 replacement
    faceplate.

    We realize it has been quite some time, but after extensive quality assurance
    evaluation, we are now ready to ship your faceplate to you.

    Please reply to this email and confirm that your shipping address is correct. Here
    is what we have for you:
    XXXXXX

    Please reply here to either confirm this shipping address, or to provide us with
    an updated one. Once confirmed, we will ship your faceplate within 2-3 business days.

    My replacement plate is due to Deliver to my crib in nyc tomorrow.

    You need to open a ticket with NI Support to request a new face plate.

    I opened a ticket months ago and have been checking in on the status, but still N/A... Just wondering how others are going about getting their replacements... Did you go this site directly to order a replacement? Also how long ago did you open your ticket?

    i recieve my plate tomorrow (germany)

    just ask again via service ticket, send them your adresse, and your Z2 Product number (on the buttom side, beginning wit "TZ....")

    Hello, the same happened to me, reported in June but heard nothing since being told the faceplates were out of stock.

    Opened a new ticket yesterday, quoting my original ticket no. and got an apologetic response saying they will send it out straightaway.

    So, they are in stock, but some people have been forgotten about.

    No big deal though, easy to sort out!

    Just picked up my new Z2 last week and used it for the first time last night. After 2hrs, the markings/paint has gone on the xfader.

    Now, im not one to moan but i would think for the price this should not have been an issue. Anyway,

    Is someone kind enough to update me on the deal with the face plate or shall i read the whole thread?

    get in touch with the support, get a ticket and wait for the response... they should reply in a day or two as usual... igot my new faceplate and the paint is holding nicely... and i also had the same issue as you...

    Wooooow!!! What a service!!! Told NI about my faceplate issue, they told me to send a copy of purchase and the id number of the z2 and my address..

    Told them yesterday, got a mail back today that the will makecontact me. After that got a mail of Ups that my new faceplate will be delivered tomorrow!!! Big thumbs up for Native Instruments!!

    I want to say , that after 2 months, my crossfader paint is again peeling off... im so sad... i will contact the support and see what they have to say... but the paint is peeling off... i can take a picture so everyone can se... the original faceplate that i got had this problem after couple of days, and the new one i recieved only endured for 2 months... :(
