My Z2 arrives tomorrow - should I just call Ni right now and request a replacement?

 

I dont think all of them were manufactured with the old face plates.


I recieved my Faceplate last week, I got mine on the last week of april but noticed the paint less than 4 days later.

The New one is not the reflective plastic that it came with, its more of a metal material and its not really reflective at all.



it was also packaged pretty well, I asked NI to have the packaged signed for on delivery and they did that as well! So other than the long wait time, the customer service isnt that off... I did do 2 follow up tickets but they were the same response as the first "Out of stock, will ship to your address when we get them etc"

 

I just got a response that new plates are in stock now and they are going to send it soon

 

I've received new faceplate and they gave me also a voucher. New faceplate is not as shining and it looks so much better now. It's more "fingers friendly".

 

When you get the new face plate, do you have to send the old one back?

 

No.

 

How did you get it so quickly? I purchased mine in Dec. and have only been told that they are still out of stock.

 

I submitted my ticket in March, we are in June and I bought my mixer on Black Friday!
I'm living by the whole "Good things come to those that wait" motto.

 

Finally received my replacement faceplate a week or so ago. (Canada) while i was waiting i just ordered a skin kit from 12inch skinz http://www.12inchskinz.com/native-instruments-z2-skinz-colors/ Really good quality. Now i have a brand new faceplate sitting in storage as i didnt have to send back my old one!

My face plate ticket went through in December '12 and today I got a replacement.
Dont get too precious boys and girls.

Who cares anyway?
Mine works fine and its not for looking at, its for working and listening to and making some creative music on, dont get so uppity. I say use the old face plate and do the change over when you sell it.

 

It still affect the performance of the DJ though.

Thing is in the dark night club atmosphere you fang judge when you fader is close to the top or max volume

 

I just emailed them a few days after recieving mine and they sent me a new face plate no biggy super customer service

Still nothing and I put in my ticket in months and months ago

 

In July 25 they told me that they will have it in stock the next coming week.

 

I already posted my opinion on DJTT or djforums....BUT cut your nails and quit dragging your hands when you scratch.

The innofader is a lot more smooth then the oldschool P&G's that we find on older mixers... you cannot pickup speed if you have heavy hands. Look at any big time scratch DJ and you can see that they are really light handed.

I've had my Z2 for 3 months now and mine still looks brand new. I can understand SOME wear BUT that much wear after one month is more user error then design

you guys should keep in contact with them and they will let you know for a replacement by asking your address,device ID,and your invoice.

 

Receive mine last saturday, well packed in big box.
