I have problems with the new Paranormal Spectrum Soundpack. I installed the Kore Player and updated it to the newest Version (2.1.1) and the installed Paranormal Spectrum. PS doesn't show up in the soundbanks. Evolve mutations which I already had installed showed up without problems. I downloaded Compilations 2 and installed that which also showed up without problems. In the Set Sample Content Path PS does show up and could be shown another path (but the samples are actualy at the the correct place).

    Ideas anyone?

    Welcome =)

System? Did you try rebooting after the install?

Yes I did reboot. I also tried a reinstall and moved the PS content to a different place. All to no avail

    OK try this-

Make sure the player/Kore update took. Start it up in standalone; does it say 2.1.1?
If it does, reboot and try installing the pack again.

Ok tried to install (again). Definatly got the correct version. As statded i downloaded the free Compliation 2 and that was recognised straight away. Compilations 2 is in the same place as PS so the problem seems to be with Paranormal Spectrum.

So much for being an early adopter of a new library.....

Thanks for trying that. I've got a couple friends of mine in the US office looking at it to see what's going on. I'll let you know what they find out.

    ok guys,
    update to 2.1.1

go to mac hd/library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kore2/ there should be a file called "koredb"

delete that file and restart kore.

    have fun.

    cheers

sorry guys my fault ... it has to be the library in your user directory ...

Hmm... if that's the case, doing a full scan from the options/database page should work as well...

Full scan didn't work am on 2.1.1 as well

Good news is that Kore 2.1.1 can handle 64 bit database scanning now. (Of course I had to rework my workaround to remove duplicates.

Bad news is that after uninstalling and reinstalling 5 times rebooting between, the sounds don't show up. What's bizarre is that the KSD files are there in a folder called Paranormal Spectrums in the same general location all the others are. I mapped the sample library to my sample drive just like Evolve Mutations is....

    I'm on Vista 64 bit.

I can't find the koredb file on a pc. Where is it located?

    Please help.

    Thanks, Nick

I had the same problem. After installing Kore 2.1.1 and Paranormal Spectrums the PS soundpack did not show up on the Kore Soundpack List (Windows XP Prof.).
Even after several re-installations nothing happened.
I deleted the koredb file and see - now it works :)
(nickjones26: I used the Win XP search function)
    Thank you for the tip!

By the way: On the PS-Download page I was referred to Kore Player 2.1.0 setup-file.
So I searched for Kore 2.1.1 because I heard about PS soundpack will only work with Kore 2.1.1?

It can? That's news to me- Kore is still a 32 bit app, and uses 16 bit addressing for the database as far as I know.
Did you install as administrator instead of just with UAC turned off? Try that...
On Vista, it's at (turn on "show hidden files and folders):
    <username>\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Kore 2
