Pb with 2.2.3

Hello,
Big problem with 2.2.3 update on Osx 10.4.10 mac book pro
Kontakt crashes a first time and the OSX ask to relaunch
Kontakt crashes a second time and and OSX proposes to retry
then it wotks.. but Kontakt loosed all my database preferences !
When I quit, OSX says that new settings have been created and ask " keep these new settings" or "keep the original settings"
If I relaunch Kontakt... the same cycle restarts.
Well... it seems to be a problem of settings...

I reintalled the 2.2.1 version and it works perfectly ! Reinstalling 2.2.1 on 2.2.3 works and Kontakt find again the database preferences ! (incredible ?)

I did it several times, reloaded the 2.2.3 from the web site.... always the same story...

Does any body experienced the same problem ?

Try this:

1. Run the 2.2.3 updater.
2. Go into your Library/Application Support/Native Instruments folder and move the kconvert file out of there.
3. Now launch 2.2.3.

It'll probably work now.

In the library/App supprt/Native inst/ I found 3 K convert things...
-Kconvert.bundle (wich is a simple document)
-kconvert Logs wich is a file (full of xxxxx.log)
-kconcert Temp (wich is an empty file)

I removed only the simple file "Kconvert.bundle"
and then it works....

I don't know the reason. I had the problem myself when I installed 2.2.3, so I started hunting around for things that Kontakt does on startup, and through trial and error, found that if I removed kconvert, 2.2.3 launched fine.

I have reported this to NI but have not yet heard an official word on why this is happening.

I had exactly the same pb with 2.2.4 (Kontakt 2) and I solved it the same way you indicated. I thought that NI solved the problem but they didn't...
