I discovered that everything remain OK event when I play a lot of notes with sustain pedal, until I release the pedal. It seems that the engine has some difficulty to handle all the corresponding noteoff. Perhaps this has been adressed in the last 2.01 update - Hope I will be able to get it soon (NI people, please look support request #19632 ???).

On the very good side, I use the Malmsjo piano. K2 import is better ! than the original program running on the sampler it was originally designed for. It never worked really well until today on K2. This is a 16 bit lib, and there is absolutely no pb like above. Works like a dream. Thanks.

In fact, when you release the pedal when playing many notes on the Steinway, K2 has to close all running voices and to trig the release samples for those same voices. When playing rapid piano pieces, for example if you play Chopin study #13 as stated by the original score, you can have up to 60 notes to close and the corresponding 60 release samples to trig, all 120 process to be carried out at the very same time. I can understand the engine overload on such pedal off.

One more user with the same problem. Any known workarounds?

    bump...

Does NI acknowledge this problem as something the intend to resolve in an update?

I just bought K2 this weekend, and it's very frustrating not being able to play piano pieces.

I had a similar CPU problem when using the Steinway.
I installed the latest K2 update and started using the updated PMI Old Lady piano files. (can be found at Northernsounds) Havn't had a problem since.
