New to beat making but know my sampled kits.

Want to use my vouchers but not familiar with all of these genres/names like Stadium Flex.
I gave no clue what this means and really can’t sit and listen to recordings where I don’t even know if the sounds on the demo are in the package.

I do know I want Drums and Percussion.
Don’t want bells whistles and noises, I got plenty and make what’s needed.

Just some 808 Bass, any acoustic drums and percussion.

Any help appreciated as I feel out of place.
Never heard of the artists either, even thought one expansion was Keefer Sutherland.

    Cheerz.

My Machine hooked up easily, right away, just like the instructions said.
Glad there’s no touch screen. I like the buttons, my fingers are too damn big and fat for these tiny screens anyways.

What type of music do you want to make?

All styles from Metal to EDM to Hio/Hop/R & B.
My main focus though on the + Is Bass and Drums.
Everything else will be performed using the instruments.
With the exception of reversed FX, SFX and vocal edits that I will create on my Mac/PC.

Expansions tend to focus on either a genre or a particular era of a genre/sub-genre, with such a wide range of genres it's hard to advise, no expansions focus only on drums afaik, they all have a bunch of stuff.

EDM'ish expansions have particular drum selection that isn't very suitable for hip-hop and r&b, usually very full and synthetic, classic hip-hop/urban expansions have a lot of acoustic sounding stuff while the few more futuristic or trap expansions sit in between synthetic and acoustic and generally have a bunch of 808's and such (at least Pure Drip does altho tagged as kicks). For metal IDK but I imagine more realistic drum instruments (abbey roads and whatnot) are more suitable?

Since Mas+ has 2 vouchers, In your shoes, i'd get one of the new trap expansions and another more classic one, that should cover anything from acoustic to analog/synth drums. Maybe the one from DJ Khalil and Certified Gold?

There are a few YouTubers out there that overview expansions, showing each kit and whatnot, might be worth watching before committing.

Guess I have a functioning unit.
    Everything works as suppose to.
Downloaded my CGold and a Trap stuff, smooth ride.
Not a single hiccup on anything and tons of kit.

I got 3 months to program an evening of dance & drink tunes from Trap to Disco, even open with Black Sabbath War Pigs, complete with Air RAID Sirens and automated lights. Our dual groups of 3 ACLs (aircraft landing lights) shoot up like searchlights. One of the female vocalists is a young MetalHead so she does 4 songs and people love her. Not to offend the more delicate flowers in our garden, but she’s a hot Asian Guitarist/Singer that uses the stage name “Jung HO.” It’s Vegas brother, anything goes here.
