I'm used to using Serato software in that if I press CMD-F on my mac it searches the entire library.

At the minute in TP2 I use CMD-S to get to the iTunes library and then CMD-F to put the cursor in the search box.

Is there any way I can just set up CMD-F so that it performs both actions?

Yeah just use the same button combo for both functions.
This is called a Macro. 2 functions assigned to the same button.

You can search the whole collection using the Traktor Search bar by pressing enter after searching. Without pressing Enter you will just search the playlist you are in. Press Enter and it searches the collection.
No need to search iTunes if you dont want to.

    Good choice;)

When you search the Traktor collection using the Traktor Search bar, if you press the ENTER button on the keyboard after typing what you are looking for it searches the whole collection not just the playlist you are in.

    I believe so!

    Ahh ok I see.

Is it possible to set up a macro then to choose "Library" in the iTunes part of the tree and then put the cursor in the search bar?

In 2.03 I was able to set up a Macro that chose a specific "Favourite" but I can't seem to do that now in 2.1.2 - it just cycles through them rather than allowing me to choose one specifically..
