Solved Phantom piano loads in Komplete Kontrol at startup

Whenever I start up Komplete Kontrol, a piano sound loads. I can't figure out from where. If I load other sounds, the piano is still there (with latency) and on ALL MIDI channels! I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and I still have the same problem. To be clear, as soon as Komplete Kontrol starts, there is a piano sound, which plays on all channels, even though there have been no plugins or sounds loaded. Can someone help me, please?

 

I think I may have exactly the same issue, and I have learnt to overcome this by changing the buffer size on my audio interface (UAD Apollo quad - firewire) in its console preferences - just to the next up or down size to what it is generically on opening. I know this is not a repair but its a workaround. hope someone cleverer can assist us both with something more permanent

 

Sounds like you saved a KK default with a sound in it. Clear it and see...

 

No, this happened from the very first time I installed and opened the program. And when I go to "Open Recent," there is no recent save to load.

*ADDENDUM:* I think I may have fixed it, although I'm not sure where the phantom piano was coming from. Since Chris said he fixed it by changing an audio output setting, I changed it from "shared" to "exclusive" and the piano is gone now.

 

I have similar issue!
Since I installed last KK update (2.30.0), I hear a ghost piano on every midi channel in standalone mode.
At midi outouts the GS wavetable synthnis DISABLED.
I already deleted and re installed KK Software, but the piano is still there...

Any idea where this can come from??
