    Hi everyone,

Recently I have purchased the Pioneer DDJ SB3 and I have been trying to make it work for Traktor.

I have found various .tsi files on the web, but none of them made my controller fully work with 4 track decks, so I took the one that was working the best and manually copied every single control for deck A & B, and assigned modifier 3 and 4 to change to 1 whenever I click on the "Deck 3 & 4" buttons on my controller, and whenever M3 or M4 is set to 1, Traktor will now know that I want to use deck 3 and 4 (hope this makes sense).

So, now I got my DDJ SB3 almost working with 4 decks on Traktor, the only problem I have now is a game changing one and I am having trouble solving this issue on my own.

So, lets say I have a track running on Deck A & B and I want to slowly mix in a tune from Deck C. The problem I have, is that Traktor will automatically look for whatever the position of the buttons on my controller are and adjust it. So now I have a track on deck A with the volume turned on all the way, and a track on Deck C with the volume turned down all the way. As soon as i touch the volume slidebar on my controller to change the volume of deck C, it will automatically jump to the position of deck A and run on max. volume. This makes it impossible for me to mix in tunes from deck C & D, because the position gets changed as soon as I touch any button. (hope this makes sense as well).

Could anyone here help me solve this issue? I know that I used to use a DDJ Wego with Traktor which is also a 2 channel controller, so I am curious how people made that one work perfectly in Traktor with 4 decks. (when looking in the .tsi, I did saw channel 1, 2, 3 and 4 being used eventhough the controller only has 2 channels, curious how that worked).

Thanks in advance for helping me solve this issue, I have been using Traktor for years and don't want to switch to Serato and lose all my cues and grids and everything.

    Hi everyone,

Allright, so i have been able to fix the aforementioned issue by selecting "Soft Takeover" in the options menu.

The only issue I have now, are the LED lights of the deck 3 & 4 buttons. I can't get the LED to light up for some reason, I have tried various controls but as of yet I failed to get the lights to work, so now I cannot know which deck I am trying to control.

Currently my mapping setup is like this:
Modifier #3, In, cond M3=0, set value to 1
Modifier #3, In, cond M3=1, set value to 0
Modifier #3, Out, cond M3=1, Controller Range 1-1, MIDI Range 1-127

My LED light is not lighting up, and I have tried to mess around with the Output but have not beel able to fix this as of yet. Could someone help me out?

Hi Jason! I've been looking for a way to get 4 decks working under Traktor in my DDJSB3. I've really read a lot and I'm finally understanding it. So, I was wondering, would you share you're mapping ? I think I could map it myself but if you share, will save me a lot of work. Thanks you very much!
