Traktor Scratch Pro + BCD 3000 + vista 32 bit

I've used Traktor Scratch Pro before with the same setup and had it working well, but after having wiped my computer and reinstalling everything, i finally got everything working again except for one problem.

I'll hit the play button (doesn't matter if I use the midi controller or the mouse), and the track starts playing. However, if i pause the track, then use the jog wheel to move through the song, I'm unable to use the play button again. Hitting it only changes it from grey to yellow, and then back if i hit it again. Then if i mess around with it a bunch and actually get the track playing again, I can pause/play the track with the play button but I can't use the jog wheels. Its either one or the other and its really frustrating!

If anyone has any idea of how to fix this, please let me know!

    Thanks in advance

I read your thread that you started and I'm not sure we have the same problem since you said you're using CDJ's to navigate through the song and I use the jog wheels on my midi controller , but what I finally did to fix my problem was pretty simple:

1.) go into midi mapping and delete whatever function you had assigned to the jog wheels.

2.) make new functions assigned to the jog wheels and under control configuration make sure interaction mode is set to direct, and type of controller is set to "Jogg (3Fh;41h)".

    Hope this helps!

I suggest always backing up your latest working mappings before doing any changes that might affect the system. For example, I back up my settings always before and update or reinstall. Often, the cause of midi-related things not to work as expected is the mapping.

To see if this is the problem, try using another map you can find here on the forums.
