In Sticky Play / Convert Samples To Mono

The product team must be very busy creating better looking synths so people can spend more money. Bring the basics back!!! My machine is disconnected until you guys solve Mono, period.

This is the feature I miss the most in Maschine by far, it is the main reason why I keep coming back to my MPC with JJ. This together with tempo per scene and more loop options (loop-backwards) and Maschine would rock

 

it's incredible that this absolutely basic sample feature is not part of Maschine yet

 

I guess they fired most of the developers because nothing much is happening in the last 2 years with maschine software. Looks like we have to move to ableton push.

 

Ableton Push isn't really a comparable solution, Maschine is unique in several ways. There's no Ableton Live VSTi for starters, though perhaps they'll follow suit like Reason.

Wider by infected mushroom lets you widen all kinds of stuff

I Always thought it would be cool if there was a stock plugin for mono/stereo stuff. Maybe

1. a knob to solo L/R Mid or Side,
2. a mono button or mono bass cutoff kinda thing
3. a knob for stereo width like you said,

Kinda like the utility plugin idk

 

Isn't this possible already via a Reaktor effect? I thought I saw a Reaktor utility to convert stereo to mono and even adjust the stereo width via controls at which point you could just resample to mono. I'll take a look and see if I can find it.

Update: After the normal conversion process for Reaktor ensembles this works wonders. The options are Stereo Thru, Stereo To Mono, Left to Mono, and Right to Mono.

Perhaps we can talk with the Reaktor folks and ask for a KK/M+/NKS Ready section in the User Library so as things like this are updated to support the knob controls we can all share them.

 

Ok everything checks out, simple conversion once I got my head around some stuff in Reaktor. D-One this is pure Reaktor conversion with no editing of the macros done in Maschine2 or KK. I'll reply in your thread about the additional ID's that get added when importing into Maschine or KK, but it looks like you have to restrict the number of ID's in the parent ensemble as well as the master instrument. Luckily as with your fader project, this is a single knob... for now.

Lowkus This sounds like something useful I can use to work through programming in Reaktor so I'll update this thread once I make some progress on those additional features. Disabled, Stereo Sum, Left Only, and Right Only are the current options.

Splitting stereo to mono would be supremely useful in Maschine.

Right now, it's a pain in the ass to have to load a sample in Audacity, convert it there, export it, and load the mono left and mono right in Maschine.

I've been looking into getting an MPC for this ability.

I hope Maschine adds this function sometime soon.

 

BriFi, thank you for this. This is what i've been looking for on the M+ for a long while now and this solves all my mono/stereo issues until NI adds this (if they do)

The MPC2500 with JJ has the option to hard left, hard right, L+R + Stereo per chop. That's amazing because you may chop a stereo break and need the left side kick + the stereo snare. I wished machine had that. If Machine added stereo to mono capabilities + tempo per scene it would be just perfect, period.

 

Per slice (instead of the whole sample), that would be just perfect
