    Hello ! 2 questions

    Gear : Mac mini late 2014 2.8 ghz intel core i 5 16gb 1600 MHz DDR3 256SSD , MacOSSierra version 10.12.4
    Traktor S4 MK2 : software traktor 2.11 . 00 23
    Machine MK3 with software 2.7.7

I have plugged in the machine audio out into a live input channel in my traktor .
    followd https://support.native-instruments....4649-How-to-Sync-TRAKTOR-PRO-2-and-MASCHINE-2
Steps and this seems to work .

NOW when i start a track on another deck in traktor ( on the play button from the controller )it triggers a sample in my machine and thus plays this ...

I scanned both the machine MK3 manual , the traktor manual , ( not the s4 mk2 manual i see now)
    Scanned the forums

Did not see any of this , so thougts on this ?

I enter on different usb ports

And as said the sending of the clock works , but what to do when we want to sync another traktor ?

We have a project running , dr Benchi & the primal dj ,
I play thus with my S4mk2 and Machine MK3 , he with S5 and 2 F1's , we sync or stuff up ,
Now i would also like to sync my maschine with this set up :)

    Thanks for the help .

You might have better success syncing MASCHINE and TRAKTOR via Ableton Link. See this page: https://support.native-instruments....RAKTOR-to-other-Applications-via-Ableton-Link

By using Ableton Link for synchronization, you should be able to disable all of the S4MK2 inputs in MASCHINE's MIDI preferences and still maintain sync between the two programs. With no S4MK2 MIDI ports enabled in MASCHINE, does the issue of triggering a sample with the S4MK2 Play button go away?

Also, using Ableton Link for synchronization will allow your friends to sync up the same way. Just get on the same network and enable Ableton Link on every computer and you all should be synced up with one another whether each person uses TRAKTOR, MASCHINE, or a combination of both.

I think there's still room for improvement here. Traktor and Maschine are in sync on my computer, but they don't have a phase-sync lock per-se, so in testing I find it's pretty easy to get your Traktor files off of the drop beat, while Maschine stays there... the only fix (if you're using LINK strictly to sync) is to re-initiate the link in Traktor - but that also makes your audible track jump a beat to line up, which is audible.

it seems like there should either be a "start all" feature that sends the start to both apps when you tap start on Maschine, or at least traktor should quantize the start of the song (from a given cue point) precisely on the drop beat that Maschine is following. Does that make sense? I can manually beat-match the two together, but with 4 layers in Traktor and multiple kits with lots of knobs to twist and keys to play over in maschine, the two of them locked to the same drop beat AND grid for tempo 100%, without a glitch, would be nice.

Yes, i had terrible problems with Traktor being slightly out of phase when in a link session.
A full new Windows install and fresh start fixed it for a time a while back but have seen it return in newer version of Traktor.
I have a button on my mixer mapped to reset Traktor downbeat in link. That sorts it out again usually for me.
But as you said you can hear a audio jump when carrying it out.

If you start a Deck in TRAKTOR while Link is running, TRAKTOR will phase-sync the track to the phase of the shared Link clock, but only if you have "BeatSync" enabled in TRAKTOR's Transport preferences. By your description, it sounds as if you might actually have "TempoSync" selected meaning that TRAKTOR will match the Deck's tempo to Link but will leave it up to you to align the phase.

Hello ! , the phantom sounds are gone !

And ableton linking is doing the trick !

But now i have cracks playing the pads on the machine !
Looked at it with a few friends , but knowledge is to low .
CPU is getting hammered , even without tracks playing .

After playing a few tracks with traktor it starts .

I'm guessing rooting it throug eachothers programs maybe ?
But this should be working smooth no ?
    Traktor and machine ?

When i rout all music throug the machine soundcard i have no cracks
But then i cant pre listen in my traktor ( which i use it for for adding flavor to tracks )
    ( and mixing ... :) )
I have to restart all the time , luckely we play with two but i cant use my machine when playing solo .

I thought I tried both settings, but I will check again. Thanks for the help.

When in link sync with maschine, it also seems like there’s a glitch when you stop a playing track as well. Maybe the offending track is somehow set to master. I’m not sure, but when I stop track everything just makes the sound of a 1/32nd loop playing - and resolves when I hit play on that track again.

The whole traktor session sounds like a single 1/32nd loop. It’s a funky glitch that makes it unsafe to use live right now.
