Please create a Rack Extension for Propellerheads Reason!

Also Absynth as Rack Extension would be really nice!

 

Wouldn't this be a better request sent to Propellerheads? Please give support for third-party plug-ins?

 

You should look on propellerheads.se and you can see, they already done it! The name is rack extension and has the same and more functions as VSTs!

 

A Rack extension is a mashup between a Reason Rack device and a VST and developers get a 70/30 split in the profits just like in the IOS appstore. Would also be nice to have a Reaktor Rack device.

But no reduced versions! Guitare rig, kontakt and reaktor are must haves! I cant beat without them! Sure they have weak sides but overall they are nicer than everything else!

 

Propellerheads should offer a free VST bridge rack, so everyone can use every plugin. All other stuff is just marketing ****.

 

this is not possible dude, as Rack Extensions format has CV IN/OUT and GATE IN/OUT, can you create a "vst bridge ensemble" for reaktor? I think the answer is NO. Can you create a "vst bridge object" for max/msp? NO.

you can create a VST plugin from a max/msp patch, not the opposite, isn't it?

so, racks extensions works similar to max/msp objects in a propellerheads way of doing!

 

Max/Msp is able to load VSTs.

I'm not a Reason user, i use Ableton Live and/or Reaper 4 all the time and really like it. Its quite more open & very easy to use. So the vst bridge thingy was just an idea. The Propellheads will not fight with compatibility & stability issues.

yes, it can, but you can't use it like an object, you can only wrap it, processing audio and/or midi with it, wrapping it do not mean using it like an object...

Re are differents, you can use them completely like all other reason devices, you can module parameters with Lfos, you can use the LFO modulating a filter on a Re splitting it and modulating another parameter in another Re or reason device, Re format is VST + more (modulation, CV and GATe in/out), is definitely different...
