You will need Traktor Scratch Pro 2 to run the CDJ's in HID mode... otherwise, you can run the CDJ's in MIDI mode with Traktor Pro 2, but you will lose many of the features.

NO, you wrong! from 2.5 both traktor pro and scratch pro works in HID mode without time codes.

@djroyb - i think you only need to press CD/Vinyl mode button on a CDJ to stop platter react like this.

    1. in traktors main window left upper conner u should see Traktor Pro or Traktor Scratch Pro - simple. but sounds strange to me, you have traktor and do not know what you have.....
    2. http://forums-archive.pioneerdj.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/537101963/m/739103724 button on the right.

dont understand how you do want platter work in cd mode if its not skipping either on cdj 100. fast forward/back with dedicated button and platter move

I just tried it and can confirm it is a flaw in the mapping. Only in vinyl mode can use the Jogwheel to Cue a track. So the only way is to use the Vinyl Jog mode (Blue) instead of the CDJ Jog mode (Green).
I only use the Vinyl mode so never noticed this behaviour.

So the short answer is it is not possible.
    ---
Use the outer ring of the Jogwheel for tempo corrections instead of the Platter of the Jogwheel.

how is someone supposed to help here if you be even unsure about your version and setup?

anyways, you have only traktor pro 2 registered, so you will not have timecode.

btw, this is the user forum. if one of the CDJ users here jump in: fine. otherwise please contact the NI support.

I don't think that attitude will get you anywhere regardless which software or forum you enter.

The setup is almost plug and play and I have done this in any Club I spin.

Assumption: You are using two CDJ2000 without any other soundcard connected to a Mixer without a soundcard like the DJM800 or DJM600. That's your basic club setup which you will find in most places.

Step 1: Ensure the firmware on the CDJ2000's are updated (Always bring the firmware on a USB stick)
Step 2: connect the CDJ2000's preferably to a Powered USB Hub (unless you have aenought ports). I only have 2 USB ports on my Macbook Pro so I need to use hub.
Step 3: Create an agregate Audio device of the Two CDJ's, Pioneer has a no brainer tool for this ensure you have it installed on your Laptop.
Step 4: Launch Traktor, go to settings and select the agregate audio Device you just created.
Step 5. Traktor Settings => Output Routing => Mixing mode external => Ensure deck A and B are on different channels.
Step 6: On the CDJ ensure Advanced HID is setup in the Menu
Step 7: On the CDJ go to Link => Control Mode, USB MIDI => Push to select and turn Knob to select the Traktor Channel you want to control. Usually A on the Left and B on the right CDJ.

Keep the CDJ's on Vinyl mode and it all should work like a Charm.

Thanks for the your input to clarify do you mean remove the cdjs from the pioneer configuration menu or from within Traktor?
