Please Help Me!

I can not figure out the preferences in Traktor Pro! Sometime the midi works and sometimes it doesn't I get sound from the speakers but nothing in my headphones. THEN! When I do get sound in my headphones the sound card won't let me cue for the next track what the hell is going on? Why did you guys at NI make soo diffficult to do simple things, Damn!

I have:
Macbook pro Intel chip
Traktor
M-audio Fast Track Pro
Vestax VCI-100

Essentially, you need to learn a bit at a time- get your traktor set up with your sound card first (using the mouse and keyboard to control traktor), then get more ambitious by setting up the vci-100.

Another approach, which might be even easier, is if you try the Traktor LE that you get free with the vci-100, you can get a feel for setting up your soundcard (it comes with a good vci-100 config for LE too- so you can play with that right away). When you have the basics down, then maybe have a play with pro. It's a really easy combo- I bought the fast trak pro and vci-100 at the same time, and had them working with traktor LE within 30 mins of getting home (including time to make a good strong cup of tea). LE is a bit less complex than pro, and requires less setup to get results- a good way to get comfortable. Put pro to one side for now, tackle one new thing at a time.


While pro is far from perfect, you really do sound like you haven't read the manuals for the sound card, vci-100 or traktor pro, and maybe haven't any experience with configuring any of these sorts of thing before. You can't blame NI for that. Jumping right in without even reading the labels for the buttons on the front of your sound hardware is a bit beyond the scope of that their software can compensate for

 

Yes it is the same as the last one but I don't seem to be getting any help. All I need to know is what to put in the Preferences... Could someone please send me that information?
