I was using TSP this morning and all was fine. Then I get home and plug in 3 new phono cables going from channel B, C and D from the Audio8 to my Xone92 and ever since then the sound is completely distorted. Sounds like the tracks have been recorded too high but i know that they are fine.

I have removed the new cables and it is the same on all channels, timecode or internal.

I have checked the rest of my gear, amp, speakers and they are fine.

Any ideas why this has suddenly happened?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

This really bugging me now... I cant seem to find a solution to it.

I have just tried changing the audio device to built-in and plugging my headphones directly into my MBP and the sound is perfect. This only happening when routing the audio through the Audio8.

Is there any way I test to see if there is a fault with the Audio8?

Ok, after reading the long threads in the Audio8 forum section it seems that I am with many others with this same problem :(

I am at work at the moment and have yet to try the restarting the MBP trick, but hopefully that will fix it for the time being.

Cant believe that NI have not issued out a permanent fix for this problem!

Here is a suggestion, But I have had this problem before and it was because I was using the Phono line which distorts the sound really bad. Make sure that it is hooked to LINE not PHONO. See if that works.
