Please help traktor pro 2.6.2 not closing

After I upgraded today my traktor pro won't close. I press the shrink screen button to access the close button but traktor freezes.

The controller still works and controls the software but none of the buttons can be activated with the mouse and windows makes a bong sound when you try. The only way to exit is the go into task manager and end the traktor process. I am on windows 8

Please help as have a gig coming up and would like to be able to save changes from warm ups etc.

Until you get this sorted right click and save collection, and also export your settings if you change them prior to closing, you'll then be able to recover them.

I had a problem like this when I used Windows and it was related to my nVidia graphics card drivers and fullscreen mode. You might want to try using more up to date or different ones.

 

I can +1 this issue.

Start Traktor with the Run full screen on startup option enabled, wait for it to load and then take it out of full screen and then you can't click on anything on the GUI. Mouse scroll on the library works and controllers work but closing is impossible.

Windows 7 for me.

Yeah, never had a problem with 2.6. Didn't do the upgrade to 2.6.1 so can't say about that one.

Updated my ATI drivers and it's still doing it.

Also finding that when I end process in task manager the GUI disappears but the process doesn't actually end.

 

do you have a second pc to test ?

 

No, just the one laptop. 2.6 is still working fine and has caused me no problems so I'll just stick with that until a fix is found.

 

My 2.6.2 on one laptop freezes when opening sometimes :|
Win 7. Only on that laptop tho and have had it only a few times happened.

 

Direct from NI. Not tried the fix yet. I'll probably just stick with 2.6 anyway.

 

I have to admit I never had "Show consistency check at startup" ticked so not a work round for me. I use shortcut alt+F4 which does the job until a fix comes along.

 

Had the same problem. Fixed this issue by going to
-Preferences
-Global settings
-Misc
-(Uncheck) Switch to full screen at start up.

You must switch to full screen every time you start up Traktor but at least you can minimize and maximize at will with no problems. Hope this helps!
