Hey, i know that someone will be clued up on this. I would very much appreciate any input.
--I have LOTS of tracks that i have made on cubase. I am using ableton live, and wish to make a backing track of my songs (of different tempos) and mix them in and out AS the backing track. This means that this track will be set in stone and needs no alteration. (perhaps some delay or reverb or filter on the master track here)

--The issue is that the tempo of the maschine software/the tempo of the ableton software wants to snap my samples to the master sync, however, i dont want a set master tempo

--Literally all i want the maschine for, at this point in time, is a backing track to showcase my music. I need to dig into my projects and 're-sample' one or two layers onto about 25 pads per track and play that layer live. However, it is important that the backing track does not stop playing whilst i fiddle around trying to open up another set of sample pads to play over the other songs. the music needs to be continuous, and i need to be able to access about 400 pads with individual samples on them (of different tempos and key)

PLEASE HELP, i have lost my manual

    Thankyou.

It's in your Maschine documentation folder. Or you can get it again by downloading the latest version of Maschine from the Service Center or Support up there ^^^

    yeha

yeha iv got all the updates. the manual doesn't specify what to do it my situation.

Is the only way to switch between my samples to open up a new project mid set for each song. I can probably use group a and b for song 1, then cd, ef, gh for songs 2,3,and 4. When i get past song 4, i will need to open a second project to load more of my samples to continue triggering my samples for my songs?

My main question is.. is there any other way to not have to load a new project? because i cannot stop the backing track of my music half way through my live performance.. also, if this is the only way to do this, how long will it take to load a new project with fresh group banks of samples? and will this make my backing track skip atall? the backing track will be a pre-edited audio track of various songs of different tempo in ableton live or even on an mp3

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are trying to do but if you are working with Maschine as a plugin within Ableton you could load separate instances of the plugin and have a different project loaded within each instance of the Maschine plugin so that you have access to all the samples you need at any one time.

It kind of sounds like you want to 'dj' solely with Maschine which would be difficult as the stumbling block is having enough patterns and groups. Maschine isn't really designed for this though it does work well for ad libbing material across a dj set. Try Maschine with Traktor or Ableton Live (or even a cd?) and you'll be much nearer to your goal

Thanks friend. Time to finish them methinks lol

one more question to whoever may know how to do it. Any idea about routing my audio from cubase into the maschine. I need to sample my vocal lines onto the maschine straight from the daw. so i need to find how to 'input' the audio signal from cubase into maschine so i can tap the pads exactly when they will need to be pushed when resampling the layers live. Any help would be most appreciated. pip pip
